So I've been experimenting more with some twisted kanthal ideas to use on my REO Grand / RM2 and here's what I messed with today.
I did 2 strands of 30g and 2 strands of 34g which was ok. Then I did 1 28g, 1 30g, and 1 34g which was bleh and then I did 1 28g 1 30g and 1 34g which was a little better but overall just like normal twisted wire but with muted flavor and vapor. Now here is where I landed on the best combination I have ever vaped on. 1 strand of 28g kanthal and 3 strands of 34g kanthal The flavor is insane and it pushes so much vapor out. I did 7 wraps on a 5/64th bit using the hexacoiler jig (amazing) and it ohm'd out at .75-.8 which is right in my sweet spot for my reo. Actually a tad under, but the way it vapes my juice, it does not burn it at all. A very cool vape, yet the coil heats up so fast but has that thicker gauge everyone loves. Try it out and let me know how you like it! I've nicknamed this combination "MANthal" "BOOOOOO!" - ECF fan crowd. Lol.
