I have tried a bunch of stuff in my carts and I have wasted more liquid than Id like to admit. Recently I have been using the frayed/ shredded PTB and its working pretty well. For me to work it needs to be pretty loose. The problem with that for me is that I cut my carts down and sometimes I get some e-juice in my mouth with the PTB method. As I said before I have tried a bunch of fillers and one of the ones I tried was shoe laces. I figured that it would wick pretty fast and keep the atty pretty moist. When testing with juice I was able to see that just dipping a cut end of a (new) shoe lace the liquid traveled up the lace pretty quickly while when I did the same with a PTB material the juice did not move at all. So I tried to fill my cart with juice and the laces.
At first it looked promising. It took a lot of juice and it was vaping very well. The problem was it did not last long. Because the laces are a good wicking material it pretty much soaked up the juice and did not really want to give it up. Then I thought back to how the PTB did not move the liquid and maybe that is why it works so well in emptying the cart. ( I have not experienced that yet but that is what I hear. )
Now, the new test...
What is "in my pipe" right now is bristles from a paint brush. Im hoping that i will have similar results as the PTB where it would hold the liquid but not soak it up where the atty cannot get to it.
Here is what it looks like:
So far so good. Ive been on and off it for a couple of hours. Ill let you know more as time goes by.
