Best Cart filler for thick juice?

I have a Joye 510 and have been successfully using the "Easy PTB mod" for my carts and it has worked great with the juices I had...all fairly thin juice- . I could take about 15 really good hits pretty close together and never get a burnt taste until it was time to refill- and then the cart would take 8-10 drops of liquid.
I recently ordered some very yummy new juice and it seems much thicker (all PG...just really good quality I think) and I only get about 3 hits before I get a burnt taste. I even found that in one case, I had melted the cart around the edge! I go to refill, and can only get 1 or 2 drops in before it pools at the top. Seems like the filler is not wicking properly. I tried the PTB without the straw too, to see if that would make a difference and it didn't.
So am I doing something wrong....or is there a better cart filler for these kinds of juices? Any other suggestions or help would be appreciated!!!

That's the PTB made easy that Kristin posted right? I too have a particularly thick juice and found it slightly melted the edges of my cart, and I'm also not using a straw (so quick and easy without it and works well). Haven't tried it, but I'd suggest cutting off a small lengthwise strip from the PTB filler so there's less of it in there and the juice can get to the atty more easily (same height in the cart, just less surface area in it). At the same time, the atty's gotta wick too so you may just have to take it a little slower with the thicker juice - unless you cut it with some VG. So, that's another idea. Guess you could drip too but that'd be a bummer (I'm not a big fan, too much hassle). Hope this helps somehow, i'm way noobie.

I'm vaping Nhaler's high voltage and it is also a little thicker. I'm using the blue foam mod cut just a little thinner than the cart opening and only 1/2 to 3/4 deep. I fill the cart about halfway place in the foam and push it all the way to the bottom to get the juice to soak in. I then pull the foam up to just under the cart lip and top it off. Seems to work pretty good for me. You might have to experiment a little depending on how thick your juice is.

If you cut the juice with vg it will only get thicker. Some people have stated that they cut the smallest strip crossways, from the top of the cart. Making the cart shorter seems to work for them. I have never tried this. If you decide to cut the juice I would use pg. Some use pga or distilled water.

I use Nhaler HV, which is very thick. Make sure the cart is aligned properly with the atty and that your vent notches are larger enough and aligned to the short sides of the cart.

Are they new attys, too? I've been getting reports that some new attys are causing burnt taste issues, no matter what people do.

tried it again without the straw. Works a bit better. Tried cutting a bit of the teabag away from the side...not much difference.
I have everything aligned properly...

It definitely is the wicking time. If it sits abit, I get a good hit...no burnt taste...for a couple hits, then I have to put it down and wait...(I'm not too good at that!!)

I have yet to try thinning it a bit with PGA= can't get Everclear in NY, so I may try the highest alcohol content I can find and see how that goes...

And yes, 4 of my atties are new, but they worked ok with the thinner juice...
I think I just need to keep experimenting a bit...or maybe start switching between batteries and my passthrough to give the juice more wicking time! I really like the ease and taste (none) of the PTB....I really don't want to switch...just wondered if I was doing something wrong...good to hear it does work with thick juice! I like my juice too...and don't want to switch that either!!
