Trying Atty+Cart

Just ordered an atty and some carts, after only using cartomizers thus far. What sort of maintenance can I exercise in order to keep the atty working better for longer?

Also, I noticed the cartos taste, for the first few drags, like I'm sucking on acrylic primer (At least I assume, it tastes like my primer smells). Can I avoid this somehow? 'Cause that's kind of... Icky.

Cartos shouldn't have any primer in them. The taste you're getting might be from not letting them sit for a bit after you fill them.

I usually blow out my atomizers at least once a day and give them a soak in Isopropyl Alcohol once a week or so. Let them dry overnight.

Take a look at the moded carts section....there is ptb you can add and it works great without the nasty first time taste and you can even taste the e-liquid even better and it will hold more than regular cart filling...Give it a try and read about it, check it out
