Some background... I've been a smoker (analogs) for 18 years. Started with Marb 100's, then to lights, and for about the last 12 years or so Marb ultra lights. There are times I smoke 1 PAD. In the last couple years went to average 1/2 PAD. Now I vary depending on my day I smoke from five to ten analogs a day (if I drink enough I can still kill a pack in a day). One week ago I got my first PV, KR808. I purchased eight liquids in different nic amounts from two different vendors. For about three days I vaped and only had a few analogs. My problem is none of the liquids taste THAT good. I mean, out of the five I tried there are two that if I was to compare them to the others are OK. I got a filmy coating in my mouth. It seemed to stick around even if I brushed my teeth. (for some reason I can not start a new paragraph, makes this hard to read). Anyway today I purchased an e-go. I also want to get some sample packs from different vendors. I want to try some menthol, and some only VG, and some with different ratios of PG/VG. Any suggestions, or experiences like this?

I don't know. I do know that several of the liquids I have are tobacco, and I would like to try a cigar flavor. I'm not big on really sweet stuff. I'm not a big chocolate fan and to my surprise one of the liquids that is OK is cocoa, not sweet but lots of dark chocolate flavor. I am thinking that knowing this maybe I should go out of the box and try other things. So I guess a question I have is when the reviews on liquids say "sweet" does that mean like sugar sweet, or like a hint of sweetness?

Yours is far from a unique problem. Most of us have or still are looking for that "Perfect Flavor" to vape. You need to think hard about what you would enjoy keeping in mind, none of the available flavors tastes like cigarettes did. Do you like sweet, tart, coffee, tobacco (essence mainly) etc. Since there are hundreds of flavors from dozens of vendors, it can be quite expensive to find your favorites. If you purchase some blank cartomizers, which cost about $1.50 each (and can be cleaned and reused), you can then purchase just small amounts of e-juice, let them steep if necessary, and try before you commit to larger amounts. Personally, I have found the prefilled cartomizer flavors to be either too strong or just BAD. PS: EC Blends is a good choice for pre mixed juice and Wizard Labs is good for just flavorings. Good Luck

I found that using cartomizers is not an efficient way to test out flavors. If you don't like the flavor, the carto is generally useless because it's nearly impossible to get the original flavor out from the polyfill.

I use ce2/ce3 to test new flavors in. These are like cartomizers but without the polyfill. These can be emptied, rinsed, and refilled with another flavor.

For 808 threaded batteries: Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

For 510 threaded batteries: GotVapes PHOENiX™ Bottom Coil : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

The following two vendors have a vast selection of flavors. They offer sample packs of small trial sizes bottles. Both specialize in all-organic flavors (no artificial flavoring) and options for 100%vg. These flavors will benefit from a few days of steeping.

Vaperite | E Liquid Flavors and Organic E Cigarette Liquid

Organically Flavored E-liquid | Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes

If you have a local vape shop where you can test flavors, check it out. I found a couple flavors I like (and several I didn't) at my local shop. This has given me something to vape while I'm waiting for some e-liquid to come in from vaporkings and ecblend.

To see if there are vape shops in your area, check this link..... usa.html

Good luck and don't get discouraged while your finding the e-liquids that work for you!

As far as tobacco juices go, Ahlusion's Blue Grass Burley is the best I've tried. Everything I've had from that vendor has been very good to outstanding. Unfortunately, they're closed for the rest of the year.

Heather's Heavenly Vapes has a variety of tobacco juice that are very good, especially if you like pipe tobacco. The only bad juice I've had from them is Peach Tobacco.

Backwoods Brew has a number of tobacco juices that are very good too.

Honestly, get a liquid that's tolerable and you really get used to it. If you go in search of the perfect liquid, especially in the beginning when your tastes are changing- you're going to spend a fortune and be left with a box of flavors you won't use.

Lots sound better than they taste and some taste good for about 1/2 hour then taste gross.

Of the three mentioned, I'd try BWB. His flavors are more on the subtle side.

Bobbas bounty from AVE juice (100% VG) is my new all day vape, its so good im so glad I picked a bottle up. Twisted tobacco from Coppercreek was my all day vape but bobbas kicks its .... Also House blend from coppercreek is really tastey. Ive tried a lot of juices and ive found these three to be the best ive tasted IMO.

OK, first realize that your tastes will likely change in the first 2 or 3 months. Also you may need to adjust your nicotine level as well. So at the beginning, I would suggest that you don't make the same mistake I did and stock up on juices that you like now but will not like later on.

I will not try to tell you what juice you will end up liking. Taste is truly subjective. I know I tried many that were recommended here that I thought were awful. Do buy samples or small bottles until you find what's right for you...and think outside the box. My favorite flavors surprised me. For instance, someone just said they don't like the Georgia Peach Tobacco from HHV, but it's one of my favorites.

As for sampling. If you have a manual battery, just remove the filling from a regular cartomizer (leave the center tube), drip in 2-3 drops and that will let you sample for a few vapes. Just rinse the carto with hot water and shake it dry to try another juice.

I ordered "Malty Toffee" (12mg nic) from BWB, and liked it right off the bat, but after a bit it started losing it's flavor (to my taste, because I'm fresh off the analogs). About that time I made a purchase from cigtechs and on a whim added their RY4 (18 mg nic) to the cart. I of course vaped it as soon as I got it. Tasted like sour chewing tobacco and had a massive throat hit. I used a syringe to get as much juice back out of the nano mini as I could, then I refilled it with Malty Toffee. After a day the flavors sorted themselves out and it tastes like a nice pipe blend with just a touch of Latvikta. It also has a nice throat hit, but it can be a bit much if you hold it in for a while.

By the way, I smoked lights (pack a day) for several years before switching to e-cigs, if that helps you figure out the nic level.

You definately need to think outside the box on this. Most everyone will tell you that they ended up loving a flavor or flavors that they never imagined. We all have pre-conceived notions of what we want and after much frustration trying to find that elusive perfect juice we start getting adventurous and voila'! It still takes some exploring tho.

I won't bore you with the details of my journey, but I have very happily settled on melon type fruits and mochas for the most part. Vaping Red White and Blue from High Desert Vapes right now and can't get enough. I would have never considered any of these when I first started buying juice.

After you find a few juices that you really like you will notice that after vaping a favorite for a couple of hours it just loses its taste-- just bland. This is common and I'm not sure why it happens. Many of us keep several tanks/clearos loaded with different juices and switch back and forth during the day when this happens.

You might check out VapeDudes and Mt. Baker Vapor. Both allow for extra flavor. VD has a great one time coupon 40% off your order with the code VAPEDUDES.

Mt Baker's prices are so darn cheap you don't need a discount and their juice is surprisingly good. I think you can get free shipping with the code ecf or ecforum. Not sure on that one.

Good luck and keep us posted on your quest!
