We're in the same boat! I'm very glad that I found this forum. Cheers!

mk8888....this is the best forum I have ever been involved with....and that counts for photography, computer, electronics, football/sports and anything else.
There are answers to every question you have and don't have....yet!
One of the best things to do though is to start at the New Members first thread from the Moderators and heed their advice on who to get around and follow the links to see that its easy to get around the tons and tons of info on this site.

Best advice you can get is to have a vape party with some folks you know and try different mods...and or...then go to a local Vape shop and get the hands on with them there. You can learn a lot about what to expect, what to look for, terminology, do's and don'ts etc on here..but when it comes to putting the rubber to the road....there is nothing that takes the place of the hands on!!

Good luck and come back when you can!!

So many posts like these around here every day, every week. It's pretty amazing.

I'm 3 weeks and a day all-vape, no-smoke now. Started similarly using NJoy disposable Kings and went through about 5 of them then did a ton of reading, went to the local shop and came home with the eLeaf iStick and a Nautilus Mini. Awesome combo. Have since bought the Aspire battery starter kit that comes with a 900mah batter (eGo style) and the K1 clearomizer with charger and 5 extra coils. Killer deal and can't recommend that setup more for someone starting out. I take it to work with me often, and honestly I take everything with me because it doesn't take much space.

I now have the orignal setup plus an extra Naut Mini and extra K1. More than enough power for all day and more and 4 flavors to choose from, all with the amazing BVC vapor production. NO desire to go back to my cig habit of 24 years. None whatsover. If you asked me if that was possible 4 weeks ago I'd have said you were insane to even suggest it. :D

I just quit smoking Marb lights a week ago after 5 or so years. I played around with e cigs in the past but never kicked the tobacco habit until a week ago. I recently bought a VUSE e cig with some cartridges figuring it will help me quit smoking for good.

I haven't lit a cig since and have no craving to. I firmly believe I have finally quit smoking for good.

However, I am intrigued at the idea of owning a personal vapor. I think this fascination of owning a nice vapor pen with different flavors and experimenting is helping the entire process. I am sure all of you agree that vaping is far better alternative to cigs. I am looking for some help with finding a nice personal vapor that's simple to use.

Here are some facts about me:

I used to smoke half a pack of Marb lights a day.
I'm very new to vaporizing but from my research I have a good handle on how they work,
Looking for a nice pen, very good vape quality, long battery life and a variety of e liquid flavors.

Any help will be appreciated!

kangertech emow was a great pen for me, variable voltage, adjustable airflow. also the joytec egrip is excellent, set my girlfriend up with that and she loves it!

Congrats on the quit smoking. Welcome to ECF. It is awesome here but be careful this whole thing is addictive and no one, not even ONE of the members here will help you saved your money!!! To many beautiful pens and mods and accessories and ejuices to try!!!!:banana::banana:

i love this, because it's true! addictive and expensive as hell, going form pens to mods... then need more mods, get more RDA's then need another mod! i've got a credit card practically maxed with just vape stuff.

Congrats on your analog throw down....look to see continued success!!

I like your set up and that is where we are headed. I can see I'm going to have problems with this vapping as I see it quickly turning into a neat hobby so I'll have to proceed with caution least I go broke!!

I am limited to the offerings of mods and hardware as we only have the one Vape shop in town and its at least an hours drive to the next nearest ones so we don't get to get our hands on a lot of the high end and legit stuff....but we're doing fine for now.

Once you get a feel for what you want and what's gotten good reviews and get the input on here....online ordering is not so bad!!

Enjoy!!

Hahaha...yeah, I got into this to help my wife throw down the analogs and it worked but now as you point out...its not so easy to just lay the analogs down AND...AND...control the HUGE urge to go uber-hobby with it....I have that problem!!

Congrats on quitting! I'm
3 weeks in myself. Went from 1 pack of Marlboro lights per day to vaping and I feel much better and have zero desire for a cigarette. I started with the basic evod and got frustrated with the battery life and always having to worry if I had enough battery to get me through. I didn't want a big mod but I was looking at the MVP 2 even though it seemed big and heavy I was digging the battery life. I found the last istick at a local store and snatched it up along with the Nautilus Mini. The istick has almost as much battery as the MVP and is about half the size and weight and it is much cheaper too! The only thing I like better about the MVP is that you can charge devices like a cell phone with it but it's not a deal breaker for me. It can still be used while charging and I have enough battery to get me through 2 days easily, really 3 days. I vape about 2 ml of juice per day. So far my istick has been a tank and I'm very happy with it, hope it stays that way. Knock on wood! Good luck!

Evening Vapors,
My wife and I are totally new to this vaping as well but she has had great success with the VUSE I picked up for her last week and has not had nor has she wanted an analog. This was an experiment and its working well.

But while cruising the forums here to gain some knowledge about vaping...I ran across a link to a YouTube video of a great review of the Elead iStick 20 W unit...and while watching my wife looked over and fell in love with the unit. Seems like a reasonable way to go.

Has anyone had any experience with the Eleaf iStick?

Thanks!!

I love the istick! I have 4 of them and that's all I use anymore.
