I'm not to sure if there would be a flavor impact in the long term from steeping so fast in the microwave so I would steep one batch via crock pot at 150F, steep one naturally by waiting and steep one in the microwave and do a comparison. It would be interesting to see if there is flavor loss or some other adverse reaction to the mix in the long term.
When I first got into DIY, things were Simple.
Mix
Sit n' Wait
vape
Then the "Steeping" Techniques became all the Rage. I tried Most of them. Most of them Seemed to Work for the Most Part.
But One Day I asked myself if Shaking a Bottle Every 4 Hours and Removing its Cap every 2 Hours made any Difference in Taste verses just Letting it Sit Undisturbed? It Didn't.
So then I tested Ultra-Sonic against Sitting. Same Results. No Dif. The Heat Bath. Same - Same. Rock Tumbler. No Difference. Everything seemed the Same. So My Conclusion was that "Steeping", for Me and My Mixes, Accelerate things but they Weren't Making thing any Better.
And since I Mix well in Advance of when I Need an
e-liquid, I dropped all the "Steeping" Methods. Because they Took More Time than I was Willing to Spend on them.
So what I am Trying to say is if you haven't Tried what Danny Suggested, do some Side by Side taste testing, you Really Should. The Results may Surprise You.
Disclaimer: Of Course, with ALL DIY, Taste is Subjective. And YMMV.
