My brother has an Ego-C, I've tried it and like it better than my 510 style so I went on the Ovale site and saw the Elips and was kinda intrigued. Has anyone tried both? Which do you prefer? Are the Elips battery lives a lot shorter than the ego-c?

Is the vape hit/strength about the same? From videos I've looked at they look really nice, just don't want to order and be really disappointed...

Thanks all, any help/input would be much appreciated...

I would say: neither. The Elips batteries are only 350 mAh. The eGo is only 3.4 volt with a 650 mAh standard battery. Plus that site's prices are high. In the same category of PV's (size/cost) there are three better options: E-Power 510, Kgo and Riva. All of these have better batteries in that they are 3.7 volt, 1000+ mAh batteries. Why pay more for less? Here are some well supported suppliers to look at:

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - EGO E-Power

KGO kit 1100mAh by SLB

E-Power Replacable Battery kit!

Crystal Clear Vaping

I own an Elips and an eGo-t (I have used the eGo-c) I am a big fan of the Elips. It fits well in my pocket and I can use it as a passthrough while charging it. The only downside to the Elips is that you can only buy spare atomizers that are custom to the Elips (then again the eGo-c has it's own custom atomizers). I own an Elips, Phantom t1, kGo, 901t, various 808D-1 batts, Pigcigs, eGo-t, VV eGo, and the new Provari mini...and my Elips is still the one I grab when I am heading out of the house for a bit. I take a bigger battery PV if I am going to be gone all day though and use a VV while at home most of the time.
The Elips does give a good unique TH and produces a lot of vapor for a small battery...I was surprised by how well it hit. I have also never gotten a dry or burnt hit out of it like I do on my other tank systems at times. But you are going to need something to wipe the tanks down with when you change them because the condensation does get all over them.
Are there cheaper batteries that will last longer...YES! There are also Elips clones that I haven't tried that are way cheaper then the Ovale.

Don't know anything about the Elipse other than what I've seen online, but I'd be inclined to stay away from non standard equipment because it usually locks you into a single supplier and higher prices. I use and recommend Ego batteries as long as it is a pass thru. I use a 650maH Ego pass thru and I never have to worry about it dying on me. It lasts all day, and I vape HEAVY, and in the evenings it charges while I still vape. Plus, they are only 2 or 3 dollars more than most any other style of battery. Can also be had in 1000maH pass thru's. :2c:

I can't agree with this comment. The E-Power which is the same physical size as the eGo and the same price range, comes with a 3.7 volt, 1050 mAh standard battery in comparison to the Ego's 3.4 volt, 650 mAh standard battery. The Ego batteries cost $14 - $20 each. The E-Power batteries cost $4 - $5 each. That's a significant difference.

I'm a past one year vaper, and i use to vape using Ego batteries (mainly with Ego-C, Ego-W, 510LR atoms dripping and Boge 2.0 cartoms)..

But i own an original Ovale Elipse since one month and a half: i think it's a great vaping: flavour (very pronounced), hit and big vapor... yes, the battery is only a 350mah, but you have two of thems in the kit; also i bought some low price clones: the Elips ELF which has identical structure (i mean, the batteries and the atoms and all the rest are interchangeable with the Ovale). This clone performs more poorly compared to the Ovale, but the batteries (other two of them) are identical !

The other clone i bought (the Elipse F6 LSK) should arrive tomorrow; but i already know that this clone is not fully compatible with the Ovale..

In the end, i mainly bring Ovale with me when i'm out (and maybe an Ego-C, just in case...)... the form factor (two Ovale Elipses and two spare batteries from the ELF clone easily stay in pocket or in some little space), the flavour and the TH does not let me desire other when i'm out... at home, different story, i mainly use all the hardware i bought in this year of vaping (i paid and i should use them, right ?); i recently got an Ego-C Twist VV battery also.

Right now that i'm writing i'm happily vaping the Ovale Elipse....

I use Ovale and FlavourArt juices (i'm from Italy, and these two producers are an institution here). The Ovale e-liquids are very good and flavoured, and i use the FA for my DIY mixes.

I highly recommed the Elipse for outside use, that's my opinion though

update: 650mah batteries exists for the ELF Elipse (which, i remember, is fully compatibile with the Ovale)

Sure, the Ovale atomizers are highly priced (in Italy, abroad i've seen they cost less); but i can assure that they last (i'm still using the first two ones); also, they are easily cleanable, there are some videos on Youtube on how to do that.

p.s.: 650mah batteries for the ELF Elipse clone exists, and, as i said, are fully compatible with the Ovale ones.

I use a little screwdriver, pulling gently from one side (two holes of the punch onto the white ceramic) and then to the other side, and it's out (i mean, the punch and the wick)... then you have full access to the coil, and can wash it and dryburn it...

then you simply re-put in place the punch piece, and press until it's locked onto the ceramic white thing.

Hope it helps
