My friend and his girlfriend both live in Vermont, and they are interested in the e cigs and are really strapped for cash, and so I was thinking about maybe getting them a starter kit. The thing is I don't know what kind to get them. Now usually I would recommend the Kgo BUT if they are just trying it out I am torn between the Kgo and maybe something a little smaller, at the same time I am concerned that if the smaller kit doesn't work rather it be to short of a battery or not enough throat hit they might give up on e cigs all together, on the other hand I am worried that maybe the kgo might be to much when it comes to throat hit but at the same time it has great battery life. And also in my ventures I came across this Riva 1100 mah kit but I don't know anything about Riva. And also I am unfamiliar with the tobacco flavors so I don't know what would be a good one to send. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear about them.:vapor:

That's so nice of you!
I have a KGO and a cash-strapped neighbor on disability who really wants to quit smoking, so I bought a second KGO and gave him one battery set-up, the second charger and some cartos, along with all the pre-filled carts that came with the kits because I don't like them.
I have no experience with PVs besides cheap disposables and the KGO. I know a lot of the juice vendors sell juice samplers so you can get a selection for cheap...I was just looking through the selections at Virgin Vapor.

Hi Bamboo;) I think that's just great that you want to help your friends. That's the true spirit of PIF. I always recommend the KGO as a good starter kit, wish I had found it before I spent a ton of money on the smaller cig-like 808s. While the small 808s got me off the analogs successfully, it wasn't long before they weren't big enough, didn't last long enough. That wouldn't be a problem with the KGO. Agree with IMAVAPORs suggestion about the cartos too.. the 3.0ohm will give a 'softer' vape, in case the throat hit is too much with a low res carto. Dark City has KGO kits that come with cartos instead of the atty/cartridge combo that you and I got. And yes.. they come in colors!!! I now have two red ones, a blue one and a green one. I got the colored ones from Hoosier ECig Supply.. he's got kits too but they have the atty's with them. Those atty's are junk.. I've also heard really good things about that Smokeless Image kit too.. but I think they're 808 threaded. You do know that this requires SHOPPING, right???

Yes I do  I just really want to help them, but in the best possible way that I know how. They are good people and are just really struggling right now. I really want to help them and hopefully get them cigarette free.

They can't be THAT strapped for cash if they can afford analogs. What they save on smokes in one day ought to open the choices up a bit.
As someone who use to smoke in my opinion a lot, I know what it is like to have that overwhelming anxiety not knowing if you will be able to get the next pack of smokes. It is like panic mode. I just think it would be nice to help them and then they can make a informed decision. I appreciate your opinion very much. :):vapor:
