@puffon - Usually, only US manufactured bottles have the recycling symbol on the bottom, with the number in it indicating what type of plastic they're made from. Sometimes, those manufactured in the EU for medical and laboratory purposes do, too. However, many bottles made in China may have at least a number on the bottom. Some have nothing though.

I personally don't use any without the recycling symbol and a number 2, 4, or 5 in it. But, that's just me.

HA you just made me look! Being skeptical/hesitant about Plastic in general i was like "ya know what, i didnt look" inner monologue. So i looked didnt see the triangle!! oh no!! held at angle (in a dim lit livingroom its a cloudly day) saw the #2. Whew :D
