I probably did over fill the whole tank and cartomizer. I' new to this so I'm learning as I go. I'm Vaping 48mg all VG liquid. thanks for the prime tip .There is only one hole in the carto. I ordered the 7 ml high resistant tank, will that one be any different? Thanks for all the info! J
It would be somewhat helpful to know the brand of tank that you are using. Not aware of many 7ml tanks. However, carto tanks are pretty much the same. They are merely juice reservoirs for the cartomizer. The trick to being successful with carto tanks is knowing what to do with the cartomizer itself prior to putting it into an assembled tank.
Watch a couple of videos of someone demonstrating how to fill a cartomizer prior to putting it into the tank. After deciding upon how many holes it should have, depending on how thick the juice is to go into the tank, you can save yourself some user error by sticking a broken wooden tooth pic into the airhole. This avoids getting juice in it and needing to blow it out after filling. Fill the carto until it the top looks like a slushy drink and stays that way. Then remove the tooth pic.
You are then ready to put the pre-punched, pre-filled carto into the assembled tank. A
tank accessory tool is helpful at this point. Placed on the end of the carto, it aids in guiding the carto thru the bottom endcap, and safely past its rubber o-rings without damaging them from the sharp edge of the carto. Push the carto about 2/3 of the way into the tank, and fill the tank thru the top end about 4/5 full. Leave a little air space in the tank. Then you are ready to push the carto up thru the top end cap, remove the tank tool, and replace it with your favorite drip tip.

As the others stated, vg juices can be tricky to get to wick properly in a carto tank. You may need to experiement with the number, and size, of the holes required.
