I have purchased the standard polycarbonate tubing 5/8"id x 3/4"od for most of the cartotanks around so that I can cut my own extra tubes. I have also made quite a few syringe tank mods, and I have been interested in buying some polypropylene tubing, (the same material that syringes are made from) to use on conventional cartotank caps. I have found several sources, but it comes in 100' coils. My problem is that I'm not sure if it will straighten out for use. Any suggestions or experience on this?

Also, has anyone been able to locate a company that sells the tubing in the correct id/od for the Cual Coil Carto tanks, so that I can make extra tubes if I have any issues with cracking. These tubes are a different thickness than the usual polycarbonate tubing I have seen and purchased in the past for other tanks. IMHO, these DCTanks work just as well as the other, more expensive tanks, but I'd like to be able to cut more tubes to have them on hand. I'd be interested in polycarbonate, or, even better would be to find polypropylene tubing for them.

I've checked McMaster's and USPlastics, but I don't think they carry the right size. I am wondering if I can send a sample in and have them size it and match it. What do you think?

I actually just started using polypropylene tubing I found at McMaster-Carr. Works great, and been using it for about an hour with juice that has cracked polycarbonate tubing in the past with no signs of cracking or stress. It's as rigid as the polycarbonate but it does come "slightly curved". This doesn't seem to be an issue though, after cutting about 30mm off for my tank, the cut piece is as straight as any polycarbonate tube I've used. It basically looks like smoked glass, you can see the level of liquid, and you can see the hole in the carto, which makes it nice to be able to check if the carto is filling properly in the tank.

Here is the link to what I got (.75 OD, semi-white):

Oh, and you can purchase it in 1' increments.

I've been searching for the thinner walled tubing too, that's used in the SmokeTech DCT's. So far no luck, but I haven't given up yet. I'll surely post here if I find it. I'm thinking it must be a standard Non-USA tubing with metric dimensions. I too would like to make some backups as well as shorter versions for use in standard length carto's. (Not being able to find it is why I bought a bunch from you co-op).

That's some good info, headstrong. Thanks so much.

I'm going to see if I can send a piece of this tubing in to somewhere to see if I can get some made. If I have any luck, I'll also post it here.

I love the 1" OD X 7/8" ID tubing with the thick full 1/8" walls the best, very durable and no juice I have used has penetrated this tubing by cracking it, and even better is the 1" X 7/8" PYREX tubing, this is the best I've seen yet for clear tanks.

Ummm...I think 1" OD X 7/8" ID will give you 1/16" walls. ;)

Big daddy vapor sales steel tubing and pyrex glass tubing, both of which don't react with various juices, as we all know are the downfall of the polycarbonate tubes. The dual coil MAP tanks are my ultimate favorite tank, I just wish that he would make a pyrex or stainless steel tubing that fits his end caps so I can stop breaking those fragile poly tubes because I like to vape a lot of different juices, and I've cracked 5 polycarbonate tubes already.

I got some of this in the mail a couple of days ago, and it works like a charm on my liquinators and lil mama tanks. As to the DCTanks, the measurement I am getting is 18mm id x 20mm od. It didn't seem to measure to anything in fractions of an inch. McMasters got back to me saying that they cannot provide this size. I have a few other inquiries out, but I have not gotten responses yet.

I'm looking for polypropylene, but I'd settle for polycarbonate.

Did you actually find tubing that will fit the DCTanks? What is the material? I totally want some if it fits these tanks. I'm covered for the standard tank tubing that has 5/8" id. The id for the dcTanks seems to be 11/16" or 18mm. I have spent hours looking for it.

I bought 8ft of it a few weeks ago here in Oregon I will check to see if they take outside orders or have online services.
