RDA Tugboats dont like Nickel

I have 4 authentic Tugboat RDAs. 3 stainless and 1 naval brass. The brass one is the only one that will work w nickel builds. Ive tried so many times. Im using 30 gague pure nickel wire. I have built many nickel builds in my origin, mutation x v2, and my quicksilver. They all work great. I do the exact same build in a Tugboat and it wont work. By "wont work" I mean that once its wicked and juiced it just barely fires before temp protect kicks on. Anybody else have strange issues w nickel wire? Any ideas why just my tugboats seem to have this issue? Thanks

Are you using the post holes, WRAPING the wire around the screws or just trapping the wire under the screws? The reason I ask is that I found on my lemos if I just trap the wire under the screws it behaves!!

Ive tried it both ways. Trappng under screw heads and going thru the post holes. Even when I get a build on there that looks great after I wick and saturate it just wont produce vapor.
