Thanks jefsview. I didn't mean for you to unseal a bottle. Mine is definitely almost clear with hardly any flavor at all. I've purchased many bottles of Halo without a problem. I'll probably drop them an email and use it up by mixing it with some Sub Zero. From other posts I've read I don't think I'll have much luck getting a replacement. Won't be ordering it again!

You might have gotten a bad bottle.

My first 30 ml is a rusty color. And just for you, I unsealed the fresh 30ml I got in the mail a few weeks ago and took a look. It's still a light rusty reddish brown.

Ditto for my two 7ML sample bottles which have never had the seal broken and carry an expire date of 3/2014 and 4/2014. It's for this very reason OP that I prefer a clear 30ML bottle along with the fact that I can easily see how much juice is left. Tinted bottles might be cool in some quarters but not mine.

Thanks for the input. I agree completely, I've never liked those dark blue bottles. Seems like clear bottles would be better for Halo's quality control too! I'm going to email them. I'll post here if they take care of me (or not).

I think the cobalt blue protects the juice from damage caused by light. Kind of like how beer and wine bottles are usually tinted.
That would be my guess too, although other juice makers (some of them high end) use clear bottles. Five Pawns for example. I sent an email off just now. I don't expect to hear anything until tomorrow.

Understood and point taken but lets talk about this :) They brew the juice and then I think it goes in a refrigerator in their lab or someones lab. Or they store it in a dark place. They then pull a bunch of bottles out and ship them in a box wrapped in bubble. Dandy. So far no light of any significance. :) We get the juice which has a plastic seal. We shake the CLEAR bottle like mad and compare colors. Maybe let it site for a few days without breaking the seal. NO color match then in my book they should be grateful for the input and issue a full credit after we ship back the juice with the seal intact. Break the plastic seal in a clear bottle and it's no dice. NO refund. Besides, maybe I missed something but what's the heck wrong with "light" on a ejuice bottle. Even direct sunlight? Just thoughts and not trying to start a flame fest please. :) Respectfully, I'm sure you get my drift on the advantage they have in a tinted cool bottle.

Just thoughts in the best interest of all parties :)

I think Five Pawns can get away with using clear bottles, because they come with a little tube to store the bottles in, which shields them. I don't think Halo would pay a lot extra for the cobalt blue, unless it served a specific purpose.

My sample bottles of SubZero are a darker shade of red than my 30ml bottle, but there's no apparent difference in taste. Maybe the light makes them darker? Maybe I'll fill a sample bottle with SubZero, let it sit a couple days in the light and see if it turns darker.
I'm pretty sure they aren't trying to con people into buying bad bottles of juice. That's wouldn't be a great business plan. Usually businesses would rather keep customers, who continue buying their products over the course of a long time, rather than just make money off of a customer once.
Not sure. What does light do to beer, wine, medicines and vitamins? Pretty sure there's a reason for dark bottles. At work, light turns bright yellow Kevlar brown after a few days...

All discussions of long-term storage of nicotine juice recommend a dark tinted bottle and a cool dark place - there IS a purpose to it. HOWEVER, I don't think that's why Halo does it - I think they do it to distinguish their look from a marketing perspective.
For a LARGE bottle, that I wanted to store for a long time, I'd WANT dark glass - that'd be great.
I just got my first order from them, and it was two small clear bottles - maybe blue starts at next size up?
I just got little 7 mls to taste em.
And by the way, my Turkish seems to be an almost peachy color (while Tribeca is very yellow)!

My sample could be described as a peachy color too. Light beige. If the colors were different and they tasted the same I would have no problem. I'll post here when I hear from them. If it was my company I would want to know if errant bottles of tasteless liquid were getting out here and there. I'm fully expecting to have to eat it though.

Don't let this go. That's your (hopefully) hard earned money.
Contact the Better Business Bureau if they don't give you what you paid for. And if you have to, let them know that your a member of the ECF and you don't want to start a thread in the Supplier Reviews-Negative with their company name in it.
Your earn your money. Make them earn yours.

Hi,

Sounds like you have already contacted CS so they should be able to help you out. Just wanted to let you know that nic level and steep time will both affect the color and flavor of the liquid. Many of our 00mg nic liquids are almost clear while the 24mg liquid of the same flavor is a deep pink / peach / yellow / orange, which ever color is appropriate for that flavor. Also, we have an acceptable range of steep times for each flavor so occasionally some liquids get an extra week or two of steeping but the next batch may not get that extra week or two before being bottled so giving it a few days to steep on your own may make quite a difference as well. Hope that helps!

Thanks jefsview. I really liked my sample bottle of Turkish too. I used to buy an occasional pack of Camels to "treat" myself. It reminded me of that flavor.

Thanks for your reply Cinder Ella. Yes, I contacted CS. Both the sample and the 30 ML bottle were 18 MG. I'm willing to let it steep for a while but they are so different I kind of doubt it will help. The 30 ML bottle has an ever-so-faint hint of flavor and is almost clear. Maybe a very faint hint of pink, quite unlike the sample.

I certainly don't wish to beat this to death and I appreciate the direct input from Cinder Ella :) I'm confident we can all help Halo maintain their reputation and insure that QC remains on target.

Please explain to me the enclosed pic? From my order of 5/17/2013 as part of a Tobacco Sample. Seal never broken.
