I received the TV waffles and chocolate last week along with AC.

The chocolate almost tasted like unsweetened cocoa that you get in the cans for cooking with. I have a question about ordering at TV. It was my first order and on the form it asked if I wanted extra sweetening. I said no. I figured that was for EXTRA and I figured the chocolate would already be reasonably sweet. I just get an almost flavorless bland vape with this and just disappointed...it really just tastes like some sort of cocoa flavoring you might get at the grocery store in the containers that say unsweetened cocoa power (for cooking). And last night I took a vape off a lr atty after primign it with 4 drops and wow, I got the harshest most acrid TH ever to the point I couldn't vape the rest of the night without coughing an choking on everythign else I tried to vape and I still have residue of the harshness of it this morning. I am vaping 'tenderly', my throat hasn't fully recovered.

I do have some sucralose coming I will add to it and try again. But can someone explain the situation with adding sweetener because the waffles I also didn't order extra sweetener for and they too are just kind of plain and bland tasting.

I always order mine sweet but thats just my taste. Some flavors are sweet to start with because of the flavoring others are not. A lot of the base single flavors are not sweet. I have a spare bottle of sucralose and add a couple drops. For me it brings out a lot of the subtle flavors. Did you vape these day one right out of the box or did they steep a week yet? Aging has a lot to do with it too.

thankies markimar - I did order the single flavoring and it appears that yeah, those are for building from a base flavoring and you explicitly need to say 'add sweetener'. I understand now. I was just wanting a simple choco flavor with no mix so I went to the customize page. It appears that there you have to be sort of your own mix master and add the sweetening from what you are saying. Its a bit confusing because on the other order pages it has the same drop down but I guess those are concoctions that they have sweetened already to where they think they need to be.

yeah I vaped them day one but then also let them sit a week. I placed another order for Geoff's Blend and with that I got a spare bottle of sucralose (nice that he sells that for only 2 bucks)...

We knew the way the option was addressed that it might be misleading and it was changed. Again, we use EM to simulate a sort of sweetness by adding a caramelized sugar taste to the liquid. But it is not sweet on the palette unless you add sweetener.

This is a customizable liquid site, and we don't want to take liberties and just toss anything in there and casually mention it in an ingredient list. We give you an option if you want it there or not.

Some people are content with the liquid as it is, as they either don't want artificial sweetener in their liquids, or they have their own that they use.

If you like sweet flavors and don't really care if it is artificial sweetener, then I highly suggest not overlooking the option to sweeten the liquids.

Most of what we sell are dessert liquids, and one would generally expect them to be sweet. And the sweetness brings out the expected properties of the flavorings. We simply give you an option NOT to sweeten if you either have your own, or just have an aversion to artificial sweetener.

As far as Geoff's Blend, I like it just the way it is. It is one of the few juices I don't add Geoff's sweetener to...so even though individual tastes vary, I would not recommend getting it sweetened, rather try it yourself and add if you think you'd like it sweeter.

I think you will be MORE than happy with how it arrives. :) Geoff's Blend is really a treat, such a full rich flavor.

I'm very grateful that TV doesn't add sucralose. I bought one bottle of it from Capella's right after I started vaping (and before I found TV -- Geoff's price is better, btw.) I never used it much other than with peppermint on occasion. In 8 months I went through about half the bottle (7-8ml.) I have, however, use lots of Splenda in my iced coffee for years. And I have apparently developed an allergy to it. I don't need my sweetener to change my inherited hair thinning into major hair loss.

I've switched to liquid stevia. I've been vaping my custom TV Milk Chocolate with their Waffle flavor. SweetLeaf's English Toffee flavored stevia is spectacular with that.
