I think there are some pics in the co-op 2 thread that belletrist took and posted.

If the person processing the co-op doesn't carefully rinse the syringe or the funnel you will most certainly get cross flavor contamination. When I mix I keep a jug of distilled water next to me and rinse and clean everything. If it is a strong flavor, like TV AC, I have one syringe that is just for that.

That's why I keep a large supply of syringes. One use, throw away (unless it's for the same juice....waste not, want not :))

Okay, I know that vaporingqueen has nothing but good intentions but honestly I have tried a plain doubler. It tastes NOTHING like the actual juice. And I've also tried a doubler with nic added. It tastes NOTHING like the actual juice. It will always taste 'watered down' no matter how high of a concentrate you use and I think they even make the doublers a little different.

Until they start making "super flavor" doublers along with the regular ones and charge the same... that 0nic TV Co-Op will NEVER be a good idea.

Just my 2 cents. That's why I wanted to run a co-op for getting several flavors WITH nic.

Jules is right. Juice co-ops are never gonna be a good idea (unless we're talking about WHOLE bottles).

I'm wondering about the co-op bottles myself. First of all, I would never disparage someone without knowing any details (and I'm not saying that anyone else has here, either.) I'm just wondering if possibly the 'route' the co-op took could be a culprit. As far as I know, once the over-seer of the Co-Op received the bottles, she split them up into the separate 6ml bottles and sent them on, so that everyone would get their juice as fast as possible.

BUT, I'm wondering if the juice received from TV had so little time to 'steep', that when the bottles were split up, some 6ml bottles got some of one flavor, more or less of another, etc. If the original 4oz doublers were allowed to steep themselves for awhile, the flavors might have congealed together more, making for a more uniform juice to be split up. I have no idea, just throwing that out there. I don't blame anyone for this, it was just a thought that popped into my head.

That being said, I was a part of the custom flavor co-op, and just turned in my payment for the new co-op today. I have faith that the flavors will turn out OK....I hope.

Anyway, happy vaping all. Good times :vapor:

ok, to be fair: I did not buy the juices directly from the co-op runner, nor Tasty Vapor. I purchased them from a fellow PIFer that decided they didn't want them. They were sent to me immediately, and I never doubted their honesty. I believe the bottles were sent to me as they received them (just wanted to be up front with my involement)

My co-op was, I think, number 3? The one with AC, Tastyfinger, Geoffs Blend, etc

My impressions.

Upon first opening the box, I was overwhelmed with the scent of Lime Oil.--
(Note: I cannot tolerate the lime oil, or lime flavoring. When I had some lime and key lime, it made me physically ill and after boiling, cresting, and using PGA, I could not get the smell out of my attys and had to toss them. So I am SUPER sensitive to lime.)
--I had to wash down all the little co-op bottles, toss the original baggie, and I could still smell the lime on the bottles. Two of them in particular were stronger smelling (the Key Lime and Geoffs Blend) Those I put in a separate baggie.

I then test tested them (without adding any extra nic, I didn't want to weaken the flavorings) I only vaped those that I thought would not have any lime, since the flavor was still so strong on the bottles (to me).

Out of the 20 (?) bottles, I liked 4, ok. The rest I didn't like at all. I decided was just my taste buds. After I finished, I realized my atty smelled like lime. Ug. I tried to clean it, and couldn't get out the smell, so I tossed it. I didn't think I had vaped anything that had lime in it.

What I remember on the flavors... the Dulche De Leche was so weak, it tasted like water. I could barely detect any flavoring at all. It was like one of those waters with a dash of lemon (very faint flavor). The German Chocolate Cake (which was one that wasn't too bad) was almost 50% lighter than another doubler sample I already had. The AC tasted off... almost metallic. All of the darker colored flavors looked lighter than ones I had come across.

I didn't think much of it, nor did I question anything, I decided that TV flavors were just not for me, and I put them up for PIFing, since they are a highly sought after liquid. It wasn't until I was questioned about it, by a couple people, that I started to think about it, and wonder why.

Now I feel very badly about PIFing them, and I hope they are OK.

Ok so I just took all my TV co-op flavors and held them up to the light and I found three more that have the mysterious goo!

Some have more than others but the flavors were Pralines n Cream, Geoff's Blend, and Banana's Foster. I cant really tell if there is something in the Cherry Cola because it is so dark but it doesn't have the transparency that good juice should.
I have boughtalot of juice directly from TV and gotten some in PIF...I just looked at all of these and they are all clear, taste great because I have vaped them so in my mind something happened after it left, but I dont see how simple cross contamination of flavors could cause this gel?
I'm gonna go with Blaze on this one and stay away from juice co-ops all together. I dont feel comfortable vaping any of these now you are right Jules it is scary, I guess I just bought some really expensive bottles!:(

Good point.

Ok Bob here.

I sat quietly on this to long! I can eat $24 and chalt it up to a lesson learned, but what's going on is wrong IMO, and it's having a trickle down effect. I have yet to do the math, but another member and I talked about this. The unnamed person isn't doing this out of the kindness of their heart.

The person that added it up figured they were making over $200 per co op. I cannot confirm this, but will do the math if someone wants to know. Now even at that, (making a profit) it could benefit the ECF community to be able to try different flavors, but ours were cut! Period! There was hardly any taste, when put next to the same flavor not from the co op the color was much lighter, and had no taste compared to the real thing. That's not to mention every one had the AC smell to it. Maybe that's a base the Geoff uses, so I won't state that came from sterilization or lack of.

I appreciate everyone coming forward, and hope this thread encourages others who feel the same way to do so. I though I was reading between some lines when Sallana offered to do one here, and that she felt the same way, and wanted everyone to have a chance to taste uncut TV juice? I feel obligated to post in the thread of the current one going on as it will at least put an end to the cutting.

Feedback Please

WOW! Now I don't mind one bit if someone doing a coop makes some extra cash for their time & efforts, but $200?!?!? really!?!?!? And hey I could even let it go (just choose not participate again) if the juices were actually what I have come to expect from TV juices. This fires me up!

Edit: Hmmmm you may be onto something Burto because I always let my TV juices sit. And "congealed" that is the word I was looking for not goo!

Thanks, but I meant congealed as in 'flavors mixed together properly', more than 'stringy, sticky brown goo.'

And Bob, do you mind if you explain the extra $200? I'm probably doing the math incorrectly, but it seemed to add up right to me.

Hmmm...well I know one way to kinda tell if AC has been cut.
I cut my AC in half...as the bottle I have is 24mg which is to high for me. But I dont vape it enough to reorder a low mg.
In uncut AC is a warm orange color and completely mixed(exact same color as tv butter rum).....when I cut it in half with a mix of pg/vg something separates out of it. There is an oil in there that comes out...and it turns a pale pale yellow with a little orange rim.(same shade as backwoods malty toffee...sorry working with what i gots on the desk)

That Goo thing...yaaa big Ewww. Any chance you can get a photo of it?
