Yeah, I was looking at it from an "oz. in vs. oz. out" basis. I hadn't looked at the "$ in vs. $ out". Here's my math for the custom co-op:

$28.80 x 23 people = 662.40 (IN)

24 TV bottles x $15.00 = 360.00 (OUT)

576 6 oz empty bottles = $130 (around there) (OUT)

23 flat rate boxes = $115 (around $5 each) (OUT)

So,
662.40
-360
-130
-115
=$57.40 left over.

Not $200, but not worthless either. Hmmm, $60 (+free juice) to fill up and label 576 6ml bottles and label and ship 23 packages? That's not too excessive, to me anyway.

Okay the total collected from a 48 person co op @ $24 =$1152

# of 4oz doublers to fill 48 100ML slots = 41 doublers
we know WE can buy a doubler for $15
41x$15 if said person gets no discount=$615

$615

Bottles needed 48x20 = 960

960X 25 cents= $240

$240

Shipping $4.90 X 48 = $235.20

$235.20

Total Expense $1,090.20
Total collected $1,152

Roughly $60 if paying retail

I apologize and admit I made mistake in taking for granted what was relayed to me privately.

About a month ago I ordered a doubler and a 1 0z. bottle from the website of Geoff's blend. Tasted awesome, but the icky goo was definitely present. I could NOT squeeze a drop from the bottle after I mixed it up. I have been fighting the clogged bottle up until a couple of days ago. Now the goo is gone and it flows freely. Maybe it has to age first???

Wouldnt you get 2 free bottles if you spent $300?I thought someone said a free bottle for every ten?I could be wrong though.

Burto forgot the 10% off everyone gets when you spend 100 with TV....not big money but that takes off 36.00 for the out to TV

You guys are right, I forgot the discounts. So take off $36, and add the 2 free bottles (or take another $30 off, if you like) [Are we sure about these free bottles?].

So that totals it up to around $120 profit. Getting up there, I admit, more than I would have thought...

Hmm...This wasnt a PIF co-op...if she profits is it really a "problem"?
(if it was a PIF it be different story)
It is a Snit ton worth of work to fill all those little bottles...She makes a little other folks get to save a little and try a lot. And everyone did agree to the price prior to participating.

Now if the stuff has bee tampered with...thats a whole other story.

Missy here... I would care less if she made $1 or $1000 at this point, I agreed to pay the $24 and it is a great deal!! IMO.. but that is if I Liked the juice, i cant taste many of them... So that is where my concern is! I thought maybe it could be just me. but it isnt!

Exactly, I have no problems paying the 24 bucks for 20 new flavors. Like she said, it's only .24 per ml, nobody could complain about that. But, if the flavors were messed up, then there's a problem. Like I stated before though, the possible culprit to the flavors being off could be the distributing of the bottles before the flavors could 'steep' together. Maybe the problem could have been alleviated if we just waited for 2 weeks before the bottles were filled and shipped out? Not sure, and I don't want to throw stones at what could be an honest mistake...(one that hadn't yet been thought of).

Anyhoo, those are my :2c:, others may have opinions (you think?? :D). I'm fine with what happened, oh well.

I agree, its fair if the product is good.TV flavors are nice strong tasting flavors, and trying 20 different flavors is awesome.

I have absolutely no problem nor care of any kind of profit BTW I have the option of not getting involved if that bothers me. I do however believe that if you are profiting you more so owe it to the people to deliver what you are advertising. That to me is the issue here it seems. I wouldn't do it for what it's being done for.

Oh well I'm not on any crusade to bash anyone here. Just happy to know that we weren't the only ones unhappy. If nothing else happens the chatter alone may be enough to put an end to the cutting.

I believe the discount (for over 200 spent) is 15% off.

I wouldn't have a problem with profit AT ALL.. IF people knew about it ahead of time. I believe in being forthcoming. That said.. I did not purchase directly, so I really had no involvement.

My 'beef', at this point, is very weak flavored samples, and the lime (oil??) all over everything. It was definately on the bottles, and it was in more than one of the juices (other than the Key Lime, Geoffs Blend, and Mojito) Is there another of the juices that could have possibly had lime in it? The Peach? The GCC? I thought maybe one of the bottles leaked in shipping (that had lime in it) so I wrote that off (the fact that the bottles smelled) but when my atty turned up with the lime smell, I decided it must be in one of the juices too.

I don't want to bash anyone either. I do not want to point any fingers, espcially since I am so far removed. But it does bother me.

I just took a picture of some TV I bought directly from the vendor and of the bottle of I got in the co-op.

The one from TV is considerably darker than that from the co-op as you can see for yourself. I've never done DIY, so does adding nic darken the liquid that much?

Edited to add: both flavors are Bananas Foster

Suzan: It's my understanding, that adding nic (if it's clear) should lighten the juice, not the other way around.

The samples I had (that I also had others of) were just like your photo. The juices in the co-op were noticably lighter. Just like that ^^

Sorry Julie.. didn't mean to ignore you! No, I believe we are talking about numbers 1 and 3? (or maybe 2 and 3) .. Bob? Which was yours? Mine was 3... oh wait a minute, I think Mixit had the other one, so it might be all three.
