TW Mega cartridges and Mega atties

I see that TW has released their Mega cartridges and Mega atties. Not exactly what I expected them to be.. but I can see the potential advantage.

It would appear that this is probably a standard Joye 510 atty with a longer external tube. That will work with the new cartridge that sticks further into the tube.. and of course that combo can only be used together.

Don't know how well this is going to work with standard poly filler... but I can see the cartridge modders going nuts with it.

I'll be quite interested in the early reviews to see if they are what I have suspected/described.

I don't have an 801.. but if I'm not mistaken, it is larger in diameter than the 510, and that gives it the capacity. It looks like they've gone longer with the Mega (like the Mega batteries) while keeping the diameter the same.

I made a personal cartridge mod kinda like this a few weeks ago (as did others) in order to get more capacity.

It's just got a deeper filler-box in it and a longer tube? I just checked the TW UK site. Looks kind of handy, but not exactly ground breaking and more of a PITA than anything with having to buy their overpriced attys etc.

Looks longer certainly, guessing wider as well,
wonder if the atty can get the fluid from so deep down

I wasn't promoting the check-ball design. I realize that making one is out of the scope for most PV enthusiasts. It was just a demonstration of another mechanism for doubling the capacity without making a custom atty.

P.S. But I was surprised to see that the Mega atty doesn't use the wide band like the standard TW 510 atty. I found that to be "curious".

What really annoys me is that they COULD have made the carts "Mega" by just extending the cart so that it still fit on the regular atty. Now, if I want to try it, I have to buy both. I know they are in business to make money but I wish someone would just make a 510 cart that is longer but fits a regular atty!

Yeah...put a mega battery on that and you can put a rubber cane tip on it and use it as a walking stick...they will need to put a brighter light on the end so you can see the end of it.

It seems by the time you're done outfitting with TW Mega batteries and mega attys and mega carts, you could have had yourself a decent mod.
