Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong here but I think where people mess up thinking these Tornado batteries will only last 3 months like a regular 510 battery is because...........all rechargeable batteries are rated to last not so much by a specific amount of time but more so by how many times you recharge them.

Regular 510 batteries, if memory serves correctly, are rated for like 200 to 250 recharges which if you recharged it 3 - 4 times a day (and you will) it would last like 62 to 83 days = 2 - 3 months.

Now the Tornado batteries are rated to be recharged 300 times, and you get 2 of them when you buy the Tornado kit. These batteries have been lasting me roughly 20 - 24 hours (I know I'm shocked too but extremely happy) hence I charge mine once a day. So each battery only gets charged every other day so these batteries should last me well over a year, I know it works out to alot longer than a year but if I get a whole year out of them for roughly what? 7 bucks more than a regular 510 battery that's gonna last me a few months at best, not bad I thinks.

Ok, is my thinking, math, etc. wrong on this or what???

P.S.
These really are great batteries though, IMHO.

Also one other thing I wanted to mention about the battery chargers.

First I have no vested interest in Janty or TW I just happened to want a Matte Black Tornado/eGo and when I went to Janty they were out of Matte Black at the time so I bought it at TW. Also ordered on a Sunday and I was vapin' it Friday, so not bad from Florida to Pa. in 5 days.

Anyways, I believe Janty says their wall charger will charge the battery in like 2 hours where with the TW charger and the adapter for the Tornado battery is like 4 hours but it really doesn't matter whether its 2 hours or 4 hours (maybe other than electricity) you'll never gonna kill this battery before the other one is done charging unless of course you hold the botton down for like 3 or 4 straight hours.

I also bought the USB charger that will charge the battery in like 90 minutes but I've never even used it yet except the first time because I couldn't wait to use it!

I also really like the fact that they didn't put a (sorry) stupid LED light on the end of it. I was really gettin' annoyed with kids running up to me sayin' "Hey ole' man, thats cool, let me see your laser pointer" hehe. Just didn't care for the light on the end, I know some do.

BB2009, that is the currently prevalent theory ;)
Of course, the tighter you pack a rechargeable battery, the less reload cycles it has, but that should still leave you with a much longer lifetime than normal 510s.

Problem is, nobody so far has had an eGo/Tornado for long enough to confirm that in practice. Although I haven't seen anything indicating that we might be wrong, either.

Great reply AlexTM, I didn't know that about the "pack" of a rechargeable battery. That's only one thing great about this forum, I learn something everyday! Here's ;) to hoping we are not wrong. HV
