Hi all -- I have done some research, and am getting varying answers. So -- will the new twist actually work at varying voltages with the EMDCC? I'm about to order a new battery, and some carts, and wanted to give it a shot.

I love the EMDCC. It has been a great cart. 7 - 10 days per cart. Easy fill. Etc. I'd be curious to see how it handles more voltage.

Thanks!

Just an update, I really love this setup. The extra voltage beyond the normal 3.7 really helps these carts pump out flavor / vapor / th. My EMDCC have been lasting 7 - 10 days with regular usage at 4.6 - 4.8 volts.

I tried the Vision Clearomizer LR, and they start getting a burnt taste past 4.2 volts. Plus, I just don't seem to get as satisfying a vape. Not the same TH, though the flavor is slightly cleaner. And I can't seem to keep juice from collecting on the battery end.

For now, I'm happy with Twist + EMDCC. Might consider a tank at some point, but for the price, these huge carts are working great on the Twist.

I haven't tried the EMDCCs yet. Is there any advantage to using them besides larger juice capacity?

I use a carto tank with my Twist, and I haven't had the need to bump it any higher than 4.4v for any of my juices so far when using dual coil cartos. I like having the wiggle room, though.

I think they fell out of popularity with the advent of carto-tanks. And If your EDMCC croaks right after you fill it, that's an awful lot of juice to get back out, or waste.

True. But they're also predictable. By day 6, mine start to get a tight draw. So on day 7, I only fill it with "backup" juice...juice that I don't mind wasting. I can get a few more days out of it at that point. I've yet to have on DOA.

Another advantage that just popped into my head. Two of my favorite flavors are cinnamon based (Atomic Cinnacide and Geoff's blend from Tasty Vapor). The EMDCC handles both without issue. I've heard of issues with those flavors in tanks made of polycarbonate. AC melted a stardust of mine haha
