Twist//mini Vivi

Hi all,

Just got a bunch of new toys in the mail yesterday. Some of the things include twist bats and a mini vivi nova tank. I got a bunch of different heads for the vivi. I figured I would give the 2.8ohm head a burn first because it would let me vape at higher voltages. The vivi seems to work ok but I can't go over 4v or I get a nasty burnt taste. Is this normal?

Im a 2 week noob, and thats my exact setup mininova with twist, my first day was a nightmare, burnt tastes like you, then woke up next day and taste was gone, realised the tanks needed some "breaking in" so to speak could be this, but im still a noob so take it lightly

Yes, it's normal. You're vaping too 'hot' (voltage too high).

Yea I thought it might be break in period. Wouldn't the 2.8 head allow me to go a lot higher? I'm vaping it as we speak and just had to dial it back to 3.4v to get a decent vape to get rid of burnt taste. Not much flavor but no burnt taste.

I'm using some 90% pg juice right now in a vivi 2.4Ω at 4.4V on a twist. The 2.4Ω head is brand new and tastes fine. I dry burn a new head 2 or three times to clear off any crap from the factory though.

The 2.8 heads on my new mini work great at 4.0 and even better @ 3.8. No burned taste at all. Also found if they are kept full that helps.

The hardest concept for me to comprehend when I started using Stardusts and vivi novas was to turn the power down.
These are not Boge cartos, and have completly different voltage requirements. I have a mini nova with a 2.8 ohm head on my provari right now with a cappuccino flavor in it. The flavor comes alive at 3.5v, and becomes muted at 3.7v. At 4.2v it tastes like old dirty sweat socks.

depends on a lot of things. how thick the juice is..... how well the wick is wicking.... flavor of juice and who makes it.... what your head is actually metering, these things are made in china, and just cuz it says 2.8 doesn't mean it will meter 2.8 etc.

just metered my 2.8 head , got 3.0 my 2.4 head got 3.4?

You hit the nail on the head with this sentence my friend! I think it was exactly that, had a 2.8ohm head on brand new twist... What do I do? Crank that ....* and start vaping! This is not the proper way folks lmfao kinda like being trigger happy with a new gun I guess. The vivi is working 100% better in comparison to yesterday but I'm still getting muted flavour, get more from a stardust for some reason.

One thing ive noticed about the vivi heads the ohm readings are all over the place my 1.8 reads 2.1, my 2.4 reads 2.9, my 3.2 reads 3.2???? And it seem the 3.2 works better then all of the heads on a standard ego battery. Idk but either way other then the inconsistent heads i still love my tank ")

I've noticed similar trends here. For some reason, my 2.4 heads seem to work best around 4.2v, but if i use my 2.8 head over 4.0v, the taste is definitely sacrificed and at times burnt

Same here when I am using mini vivi with the twist with 2.4ohm head.
