An atomizer wont work with a tank... unless you go with the ego tank setup, which is a 3 piece batt/atomizer/tank cartridge..

If you want an atomizer in a tank, you can look at clearomizers... vivi nova, raptor, stardusts, kanger t2/t3's etc...

If you are any good with electronics, you can go with a rebuildable... there are several rebuildables out there, including affordable genesis clones... (most real genesis type atomizers are $100+)

With an ego, Id just grab a few stardusts (vision stardust v3 are the ones I have). I plan on giving Kanger T3's a go, which are a bottom coil clearomizer design.

Yes, sorry, to be more specific, what I'm wondering is.. Do pyrex tanks only work with cartomizers or can I use it with an atomizer instead? The reason I ask is because I heard that atomizers are considered the 'purest' way to vape. I know these are total noob questions so please bare with me lol.

Thanks

Sounds like you want a fillable reserve with a way to see juice level but you're unclear about what your trying to avoid.
Cartomizers are (for lack of a lengthier explanation) atomizers with filling to hold juice reserve. They sell clear ones.
Tank systems (other than ego-t) have juice reserves without filling material but utilize a cartomizer inside it (juice fed into cartos filling material by a hole punched in side of carto)
Clearomizers have no filling whatsoever (like your egot-tanks) and the juice feeds via wick
Rebuildables are a whole different story. You make your own atomizer (essentially a wick and heating coil) They take patience and practice.
