How does the community like twisted kanthal wire, as opposed to micro coils and such? I'm using three strands of 2mm ekowool in a coil made from 3 strands of twisted 26awg kanthal. Takes a second to warm up, but hits very well. A bit warm, but I kind of like that, except that it heats my cyclone cap and the top of my vanilla. The wire barely fit in the post holes, which rofled my waffles.

I run straight micro coils. My favorite being 11 wraps 28 ga Kanthal A1 around a .055" mold / jig / mandrel.

The vape is only exceeded by the simplicity of the build to make, tweak, wick & maintain.

IMO, the performance gains by any other configuration are negated by any extra trouble you have to go thru to make it / tweak it / maintain it / rewick it.

With a micro, it's just wrap it small and tight, mount it out by the air source, raise it if you want more TH, lower it if you want less or slope it like I do for a delicate balance. Add cotton. Trim cotton. Rewick about once a week following removing the cotton and a quick dry burn.

Too easy :)
