Twisted Messes Alien wire

I tried to make alien wire... made my first clapton, de-cored it, and stretched the spring. then reversed the drill and started to make the alien... Ended up with a nice normal looking clapton. rather annoyed. on the alien do you use multiple wires for a core? or just one? on the tutorial i was watching they used the same core piece that they removed from the regular clapton in the first step and it came out nice. Mine looked just like a normal clapton...

I have yet to complete an alien wire, but all the tutorials I've watched and followed show them using 3 core wires. The de-cored outside wire after stretched should have the same pitch as the outside of the 3 wires, and apparently it's an artform to get them correct.

HA! Ive made that second from last one. Love it, but man it gets HOT!! Got bored last night with it and was vaping it on my IPV4 at 115 watts... actually lit my cotton on fire. that was a rather HOT drag I got.
