Hey everyone. So a while back I dropped the TM mod and the screen cracked. The mod still works, I just need to fix the screen so that I can see what the display is projecting (assuming that's possible). The display still worked after the screen cracked, and I could see the logo and info that you'd normally see when a screen isn't cracked, however now I see nothing (hopefully that makes sense). What I need to know is, what tools do I need to disassemble the mod and fix the screen? And does the rubberized coating hinder disassembly at all? Any and all help/feedback would be awesome. Thanks y'all.

If you have to ask what tool you need to take it apart, you should NOT be taking it apart
It looks like it would be an Allen wrench, but it looks like there's more grooves than what an Allen wrench has, which is why I ask what tool I need. They screws may be stripped, but considering I've never done anything to the mod in terms of noodling with it, I don't know how that happened.

probably a star bit... but the real issue is removing/installing the new screen module... pretty much impossible with a standard soldering iron.... and thats even if you can find the new screen module
Yeah I ended up being able to get in there and disassemble the mod using a torque bit, if I remember correctly. I highly doubt that I'm going to be able to find a replacement for the screen so I guess it's just a regulated vv mod with no display now lol.

even though you could buy the screen or other parts, the task of de-soldering the damaged screen, soldering on the new screen (while making sure you don't "accidentally" short out or even burn the board itself), there is no guarantee that the mod will be working.

my suggestion: buy another mod ... far safer than trying to DIY yourself through a mod with that much power.

remember: with power comes great responsibility ... :matrix:
