I like it, I like it, and I want to try mine out...but the hex driver that was sent does not fit the hex head screws in my device, so I am unable to get them out to slip in a coil.

I'm waiting to hear back from sales. I just sent them an email....so we will see what they do. I'm thinking of just running up to a hardware store and seeing if I can find the right size hex driver.

EDITED!

Within less than 15 minutes, Sales replied back to me, and they are sending out a new hex driver. That has to be the fastest response I've ever had from a non-tech support staff I've ever had!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed! The juice well is so freaking deep!!! This is going to be fantastic when I get it going.

I had to work so I didn't get to it until yesterday, last night. I'm definitely buying at least one and maybe more of these RDAs. This is an unreal experience. Just a short note b/c I have to get up for work tomorrow at 3:30AM.

I'm running two, 26ga twisted coils at 125W. It is not warm and I could potentially up the wattage from there. I feel sorry for folks with RDAs that don't have the attributes of this RDA.

There is NO restriction. It is just like breathing. I had a Mako Shorty RDA and I'll never use it again.

Tobeco has an excellent clone, (the machining is just as good, and they look completely authentic), available for $16 now. The only thing it lacks is the little hex driver and the second outer airflow ring, (you choose 1, black or SS).

I don't exactly feel bad that one Chinese manufacturer is ripping off another one here, (Wismec), especially since the "authentic" ones cost >$50 more for no apparent reason.

So if you've been on the fence about this RDA, I recommend picking up one from Tobeco. For $16, you can't go wrong.

Guys, how to you use your TM with only one square open? When I set the AFC ring to only one square, it opens the single coil airflow. In grimmgreen reviews he says the same thing. How do you do it?

There are 8 square holes, in total. Assume we start with the maximum airflow, 6 sq open.

"One sq open on both sides, for dual coil," amirite?

Start with dual coil support, all 3 sq open on both sides and just turn it clockwise until one sq is open on either side.

If you mean, "One sq open on one side, for single coil"

Just keep turning it PAST the setup for dual coil support...you need to looking at the device with the outer ring off to see this but the two holes you are looking for support from are at the "3-O clock" position on the ring.

Just got my Tobeco TM2 in from Vape NW (order to door in a little over 48 hrs!) I gave it a good hard rinse in hot running water but it didn't really seem like it needed it. Didn't use any dish soap or alcohol or anything, again, 'cause it felt and smelt as clean as a whistle. I haven't had time to play with it much yet and likely won't until after the weekend but I'm excited to give it a try. I'll come back and let you know what my thoughts on it are, if I have any in particular.

You can put it as low as one square in both single or dual-coil mode, but you can't get any less than a full square. Because as soon as you start to close off that last square, it starts to open up the other one on the other "side." ("Side" meaning either single or dual coil, i.e. if you're on one square dual-coil mode, and you close off the last square, it will open up one of the single-coil squares. And if you're on one square in single coil and start to close it, it will start to open up the first squares of the dual-coil slots.)

Well I had a few minutes over the weekend, and a couple hours this morning working on it, and what I've found is that I'm really bad at making twisted coils. I figured for the Twisted Messes, it would be fitting if I fitted it with a twisted mess. But for the life of me I just can't get them to fire evenly. Also one of the grub screws keeps cutting my wire when I just use single-strand 28g. So I haven't actually got a working build in here yet, but one thing I do know, is that if you have a Coil-Master v3 kit, the little blue hex-driver that comes with it is a match for the grub screws in the Tobeco version of the TM2. Not as fancy as the one that comes with the authentic, but still nice to know :)

Well, hard work and perseverance pays off. I wrapped up another pair of coils, 2x28g strands twisted, 7 wraps on a 3mm mandrel reading in at .47 ohms and wicked with Shiseido cotton pads. I have them installed the "standard" way, from one center hole to the far outer hole, so not really taking advantage of the new post style yet but this is my first "four-post" style atomizer so it's still new to me haha :). They aren't pretty, by any means, but they get the job done. Some initial thoughts: airflow for days! I have it set on just two air-squares open (on each side) and even then it has more airflow than anything else I have. Wide-open it's almost like no restriction at all, almost just like breathing normally. Also, I do find myself wishing the drip tip/mouthpiece was a little longer. I tend to put the thing way up in my mouth, not just "kiss the tip" and that toothy top cap doesn't feel so nice on the lips. Build quality seems pretty good but I do worry about those "teeth" in the air-flow cutouts. The metal on the top cap and airflow sleeve is really thin and lightweight -- nice that it doesn't add too much heft to the thing but it makes me wonder how it'll handle a beating...

Yeah, I too noticed how thin the AFC rings are when I first opened and examined my Tobeco TM2. I don't think they'll handle the proverbial "beating" too well, but they'll prolly be sold separately, (in different colors), soon, and if not.. oh well. The entire RDA only costs ~$15. Besides, if you just don't drop your stuff, it's a non-issue. ;)

As for the drip tips, if they're too short for ya, (I think they're fine and appreciate how short the whole unit is), there is an adapter included that allows you to use the standard tip of your choice.

Oh ya, I have the 510 drip tip adapter. I'm making do with the shorty one though, because I like the wide bore on it. It's even wider than the one on the Velocity Mini I picked up at the same time, even though the V.Mini's tip is wider, it tapers to a smaller bore on the inside while the TM2's goes straight through the whole way.

Besides, if you just don't drop your stuff, it's a non-issue. ;)
I'd like to say I've never stood up from the couch and forgot that my vape was in my lap, but that would make me a liar :). Although, I do tend to only do that with tanks, when I use a dripper I set them upright on the table so they don't leak, of course.
