TWO DAYS! I get my Russian 91% in two days. Got a question.

I'm a newish vapor, and very new to mechanical mods.

The Russian will be my first rebuild able tank. I'm excited! I use a Zenith now.

So my question is, on a Nemesis mod with a 18650 battery (Sony VTC4 wannabe), how many ohms do you recommend for the best flavor? I use 26 gauge kanthal A1.

Really depends on what you like. I'd say start at 1 ohm which is roughly what I like and if you don't like it try .8 or 1.2. 1 ohm is a nice happy medium.

What exactly do you mean by vtc4 wannabe? That could make a big difference. Around 1 ohm would be safe with most decent batteries but there are some batteries I wouldn't want to use regardless of the resistance. I agree that 1ohm is a good starting point though. I actually liked around 1.4 but that is on a regulated mod. Now I'm using about a .16 build with nickel but that's a whole different story!!

I like to build my coils around 1.1-1.8 ohms on Russians, Kayfuns, and Squapes.

1ohm is a 4.2A draw. Most batteries should be fine. However I would be reluctant to put an unknown cloned battery, or cheap battery in a mech just in case. I like having a face and hands. I think those 3 parts of my body are worth $10-15 for a decent battery

the first thing I would do is ditch the 24 ga for use in your russian.



IMHO you dont have room in the chimney area for that size wire unless you like VERY warm vapor. These things aren't really good sub-ohm tanks. (its done but its quirky)



28 gauge Nichrome or Kanthal A1. 6-8 wraps....Most folks run horizontal coil with cotton or rayon....I run .... Cotton.


Do an internet search for "kayfun Chimney coil build" ...thats what I run with 6 wraps for .9 to 1.1 ohms (depends on how far I'm off the deck, tails count too!) J cotton wrap.....The coil and wick I'm running right now has been in there for 16 days.

Yes it is..even my provari fires a 1.1 ohm coil..and it works great on my mech too, with 7/8 wraps of 26g on a 3mm bit..
