Two dead batteries...

First they start blinking and firing off on their own, then they stop holding a charge and eventually die. What is the usual cause of this?

Are these eGo batteries? Also, give more info on what happened, like did they start blinking when fully charged, and/or were the batteries wet? Anything you know about what happened.

One was an Ego C Twist and the other was a Vision Spinner. For some reason the light starts coming on, blinking at will, then when I put an atomizer on it it burns for a second then turns off. Then it goes back to normal.

Then they get to the point that it doesn't want to hold a charge so I have to charge it literally for every time I want to vape, with all of the aforementioned blinking problems happening, then they go kaput.

I seem to only be able to get about a month worths of use out of them before they die.

What Ohms are you vaping at? You maybe frying the mofset.

Two different batteries have been affected the same way. That leads me to think it's not the batteries.

Switched has a good point, what resistance are you using on the device(s) you're putting on the batteries?

If you are using the same charger on both batteries, that could be what's messing them up. I doubt this would cause all the symptoms, but you never know.

I once had a different battery fire by itself when I connected a device on it. The problem was I had shoved the battery's center pin in the 510 connection in too far with my atty. I don't know if this could happen with the batteries you're using, but I wanted to mention it. It could be you have a atty/clearo/etc that has a long center post on it and you're also screwing it down real tight.
