Figured it was time to get my first post out of the way. About two months ago one of my wife's co workers told her about e-cigs. She went to a local b&m store and picked up ego type kit and has been off analogs since then. I gave it a try and was blown away at how it took away the craving for analogs. I have tried patch's, chantex and they helped but in the end I was back smoking after a short time. I do enjoy smoking other then the hole killing myself slowly, and the smell part of it.

I have now got a pretty good collection of vaping gear. A few ego battery's, Vamo, multiple clearomizers, and 2 genesis rba's. Don't think I have saved a dime by switching but I sure do feel better and dont stink up the place anymore.

Anyways, thank you all for posting up all the great info on these forums and lets hope the FDA does not kills it for everyone.

I find the cost can be kept reasonable if I restrict myself to my old analog cig budget. At about $75 per week, it's enough to buy toys from time to time while still saving money.

3000.00?? Wow! That's quite a bill. What is the best advice you can give on setups? e-liquids? ...etc.

I'm still pretty new around here, but the best piece of advice that I've picked up so far is to not get cheap when it comes to the battery. The other parts tend to be fairly inexpensive and there's plenty of room to play around with different attys and cartos without breaking the bank, but the battery is big and expensive and needs to last a while so get a good one.

My very best advice to new vapers is have backups for everything.

At least 2 batterys
At least 2 Juice delivery devices (Cartos, clearos, tanks) + extra bits for them (heads, cartos)
At least 2 chargers

The worst thing that can happen is something breaks when you can't get a new one fast enough for your nic fit. Lets avoid that problem. :)

2nd best advice to new people is buy sampler packs of juices from many places. You never know what in the end is really going to be your thing. I thought I wanted tobacco juices and didn't like any of them. It turns out it was fruit that I love. Also Brand X Strawberry is not going to be the same as brand Y so trying many brands of the same juice can help. At least with samplers it is a small bottle to try and if you like it you can pick up a larger one. Don't throw out the ones you didn't like. Some improve with aging a few weeks (steeping) and your tastes will change as your sense of smell and taste recover.

Most of all realize many on these forums have turned vaping into a hobby. You do NOT need to buy every whiz bang gadget out there immediately. Find what works for you and stick to it until it doesn't work for you. You do not have to break the bank to get off analogs.
