say hello to the new arrivals. an OBS Engine and a smok TF-RTA. the 4 claptons in the smok will be grappled with another day (eek!).
the Engine is a joy. great deck to build on (2 x 0.45 twisted coils), the filling mechanism is spot on and the top airflow works perfectly...not expecting any leaks. RTA all the way. mostly.

The Engine is a no brainer win for ease of use, performance, and no headache "will it leak if I leave it on my mod overnight?"
for me this journey started because of health (some blood thing that i can't remember the name of). then after the considerable (for me) getting to the right setup costs it's become a hobby. winding coils, wicking and soon making DIY liquids.
i can use any of my tanks at home no problem but as i spend far too many hours at work i needed something reliable that ticked many boxes. the Engine does that. hasn't missed a beat...and hasn't leaked despite the abuse i've thrown at it today. its little brother the nano will be heading this way in just a few days. will be more forgiving with some of my more haphazardly wound coils as it only needs the one.
crikey i can go on.
to sum up? the Engine and myself are getting along just great. phew.

I just bought my first rdta, the limitles+. Im using the clapton coils that came with it. The guy at the vape store threw in some plain coils for free and when i wear out the claptons, im gonna put these in. Building is still new for me and im eager to learn, so im gonna have fun with my new hobby. The only problem so far is im gettin juice in my mouth some. Im thinking its a wicking issue, which ill learn as i go. Any tips or hints are most welcome.

hey.
not familiar with that tank and every one is different. youtube is your best bet i think. you could try the blow into tank whilst covering the air holes with a tissue trick.

I’m not either, but in general with rdas that have leaked on me we’re because I either overfilled them or because the wick was touching the top cap and filling various crevices by capillary action

I like my L+. Wicking tips, I leave my tails about even with the top of the glass. Placing them all the way to the bottom might assure you of wicking the juice on the bottom, but you lose a lot of juice volume. Leave a little bit of space between the wick and the juice hole so air can get into the bottom as you vape down and don't airlock it.

I do the RDTA roll, tipping the tank towards me as I vape, and give it a little roll if needed to get juice up to the wick tail. Finally getting some juice in your mouth is a combo of the coils being a lot closer to the DT, and the wicking. My other advice, don't believe anyone who tells you if it's wicked right it won't leak on its side. It will. It's the nature if the design, so it's limited for me to home use as I don't need a pocketful of juice from carrying it around when out and about.

@lupinehorror I love my Nano's. Flavor is better than dual IMO. Nano has been my daily driver since it came out. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. :)
the Engine hasn't been off my steampunk since i wicked it (though the alien used at home has seen multiple RTA action). the Nano is in transit (not the slow-slow-boat but still the slower-than-i'd-like-boat)...am really looking forward to some single coil action with it. have wound a couple of 0.25s and some 0.2s in preparation. a report will follow somewhere on here.
