Two old timers quit smoking and happy!!!

My husband quit in February 2014 and I followed him a month latter. We started out with level 18 nicotine and now, almost a year latter, neither one of us has smoked a cigarette, and he is nicotine free and I am still on level 6. We get our store to mix our solution with no PG, because it irritated our throats. I'm in my late 50's and he is in his mid 60's, and we had both smoked all our lives. So happy the e-cig was invented!!!

Sounds like my wife and I. It's good to work as a team. We're going on 2 1/2 years smoke free after 40+ years of smoking. She just happily uses her egos with ancient clearomizers...I'm more of a hobbyist. Fortunately, she allows my to indulge in a new shiny object from time to time, while I never question her egos or disgusting tobacco liquid. We've been married for nearly 40 years, and I never question her judgement (well there was that one time, but I learn fast).

Ya, congrats Kat. A nod to your husband too. I'm on Day 100, so I've just cleared a quarter so far, but I have every intention of increasing those quarters!

I just registered, so I am learning how to navigate around in this forum, and I wanted to say thank's for the support that many of you just gave me. I am so happy to be smoke free. I just finished painting our house and it don't smell like smoke anymore, and my grandchildren enjoy coming over now....

jockamo, The first day I got my ego-c twist, I had it around my neck out in the yard, and I spoke to my neighbors new girlfriend. She asked me what was that and I told her. I offered to let her borrow mine over night to see if she liked it. Her boyfriend bought her one the next day and she quit too. He was so grateful, because he had never smoked, and he said he almost couldn't take the smoke in the house all the time.

man oh man oh man do I love old people, especially ones with the willpower to change of a habit that they've had for so many years, my grandmother was not capable of switching and cigarettes took her life, I'm extremely happy for you. The day my children ask me when they can start smoking was the day I decided I needed to quit and I switched to an e-cig as well, keep up the good work and remember everyone around you benefits from your change
