I only have one atty...but I have cartos. Not like I will use both at the same time, just planning.

I have read about cartos on a reo, I may well go that route. If I do, I'm thinking I'll get some shorties. Do people still "squonk" with a carto on, or do you ignore the bottom feed at that point?

I did a bit of reading but any "getting started" suggestions are welcome. Also, does anyone use tanks with these? I know it defeats part of the purpose. The mini was my main goal and it's mostly for stealth or easy portability. The provari with tank is a bit less pocket friendly than I imagine these being.

Welcome, thinkingaboutit!
A few folks have done the tank thing on a reo...but I believe a 510/510 adapter is needed to clear the catch cup. Always use caution when using an adapter...if the center pin isn't set right, it can short your mod.
Lots of folks enjoy cartos on their reos. I am not one of them. If you are using a provari, you might find the power of the 14500 battery lacking. I would suggest staying with low resistance atomizers and cartos to compensate.

Thanks for the welkcome :)

And yea...I have the power worry. Looks like some 1.7 shorties and a new atty or two is in my near future. I have used my telescope mod with 3 ohm tanks in a pinch, I hope I am ok when it all arrives. The build quality looks amazing, I want these to work.

Seems the reo has a following similar to the provari with people loving their mod. That's a good sign to me.

Ya...the REOs are fantastic...and really fit the bill for hassle free vaping for many. I'm sure it will be okay...just wanted to point that out about the battery difference so you aren't surprised or disappointed. We have a Provari or two in our house too. :)

No worries...I've averaging a new PV a week so far...now with the reos it is time to slow down. Three VV and a handful of 3.7s and I am good for a long time. I do need another xtar for work, but that is totally different, right?

Thanks for the welcomes! As you can tell I post a bit so I am sure I'll have questions or simply random thoughts to post here also.

Glad you're taking the REO plunge, thinking! In my opinion, the 1.7ohm shorty cartos were made for bottom feeders, and they're absolutely awesome on the REO. I have an RBA on my Grand, but my VVWoodvil only uses shorty cartos. If you need a place to get them on the cheap, PM me. I know a guy that sells 'em for a buck and a quarter each.

I remember reading about REO's when I was just 'thinking about it' and seeing people talk about using cartos and thinking 'what a waste! Why would you use a carto on a BF when you can get the pure taste of dripping from a bottom fed atty." I still am kind of prejudiced against them in my bottom feeders even though I like them in my tanks. Prejudices are rarely founded in logical thinking or reason.

I did finally try out a 1.7 shorty and it was very good. Surprisingly good, and I have managed to changed my opinion to one of grudging respect for them. I think you will be pleased once it all gets to you. I saw that deal on the classies and was tempted myself. I love the look of the minis but my hands are too big for them to use comfortably.
