Two weeks in and my first major disappointment.

I'm 2 and a half weeks into my life as a vaper. I continued to have 3 or 4 stinkies for the first week or so but have completely smoke free since last Thursday. All in all I really love vaping, have adjusted completely to the experience and the difference in how you 'smoke' the pv, for want of a better word, am starting to narrow down my preferred juices, etc. Just really loving vaping.

Up until now I've been using the standard eGo_C kit with its separate atomizer and 1ml cartridges. However, on Saturday I received my Kanger T3 in the post and, after much excitement, got it all cleaned out, filled with juice, and hooked up. I've tried it repeatedly since then but tonight I'm just losing the will to live with it. Despite a good cleaning, I consistently get a plasticy taste from it, along with some gurgling and juice landing on my tongue. I've made sure the centre tube is completely free from juice, but still it persists.

Am I doing something wrong? Have I got a dodgy Kanger? Or are they just rubbish afterall?

They leak & gurgle... I've tossed mine cuz I just got sick of it. Maybe try a VISION vivi nova with 1.8ohm heads. They provide about as good a Vape as anything else I've tried including mods & rba's.

Yeah, my next stop was either the vivi nova or some Boge cartos. Tell me this though (still in noob mode), what is the difference between standard and low resistance heads?? At the moment I have a standard 640mah Ego battery, but my kind girlfriend is getting me an Ego Twist for my birthday in a couple of weeks!

Somewhere out there
I have tried about every clearo & clearo tank out there and they all have issues. I quit using them at all until yesterday I got a Halo Triton clearo tank and their Triton ego type 808 batts. I really like this clearo tank. So far only issue i have had is when you take off the top to fill you have to be sure to screw down the wick assembly before you screw the top back on. If you get any juice in the hole you have to blow it out really well. But once that is done it vapes great, no burning no abnoxious plastic taste. I have one juice I love in clearos and that is DIY organic Toffee, so I always try to have some clearo around so I can enjoy it :) bnrk

Your eGo 650 mah fires at 3.3 volts so you'd want a 1.7- 2.0 ohms head. The Twist fires from 3.2- 4.8 volts so the best mid range ohms would be 2.4 ohms.
Here's a chart:

I love my kanger protank and I am also using it on an ego-c battery.

Be absolutely sure the head is screwed ALL THE WAY into the base. and the base is firmly screwed onto the tank. Also use the beauty right that comes with it on the ego-c battery that really cuts down on the airy.

The only times I really had trouble with juice in the mouthpiece were one of 2 situations. A really bad fill job where I got juice down the center tube OR I seriously overfilled the tank and didn't get the mouthpiece straight over the tube.

Hope this helps

Well nuts, I'm sorry to hear that. My Kanger T3's are working great. I run my juice 50/50 so maybe that is why mine work well?

I am really glad you said this because it is key.

Everyone has to find their own sweet spot between Juice, hardware, and vaping style. It is not the same for any 2 of us. It takes time, patience and experimentation to find it. :)

if you buy a nova, then buy a protank.
you'll wish you had just bought 2 protanks.

Eh, both are great have their uses.

My standard "bring to the office" set of tanks the last month or so has been 3-4 Protanks and 1-2 ViVi Novas. Yeah, I like to swap out flavors during the day, call me crazy :p

The Protanks have more of a cooler vape (due to being a bottom coil tank), with a draw that some like to call "airy". I like that type of vape and draw from some flavors, but not from others. The ViVi Novas provide a warmer vape (due to being a top coil tank) and a tighter draw, which I like with certain flavors (for example 555's). Each type of tank has it's merits in my little universe

This, of course is just my :2c: YMMV

Yeah, good points there. The temperature is noticeably different between top and bottom coil atty's.
However, don't be afraid to build your own! A decent dripping atty can be found for less than $10. To this day my cheap "Rainbow" Pheonix-style RDA is my "test new juice to see what it SHOULD taste like" atty. That is to say before I'm led to believe a juice stinks when really any mass produced atty usually pukes into itself after two weeks of habitual vaping no matter which one you have.

I have not tried the kanger pro tank.
