Two wrongs make a pretty darn good right...

So, in my continuation of my new addiction, making flavors I've already hit home runs on a couple of attempts. Made a couple of "well they are ok" and doinked a couple. I'm now learning that even when you screw up you can end up with something pretty interesting.

So I was making an Amaretto mix. I decided to add in a bit of 100% lemon juice and since an earlier pomegranate with 1% lemon juice had a nice flavor, I figured I'd put in 2% for the amaretto. Well, I ended up with lemonade. Not really horrible, but I'd already made a lemonade. Hmmm, put that one to the side.

Today I decided to make a new test on pomegranate, this time using 40%PG / 60% VG (my other stuff is done at 90%PG/10%VG, 1.5%pom and loved it). Did not count on how the use of VG would jack up the pom flavor, and put in 2% instead of 1.5. Yuck, got the perfumey taste.

Hmmm, wonder what happens if I mix the new Lemonade/Amaretto with the over powered Pomegranate. Ding, ding, ding...I'm winning! Now just a hint of lemon taste, same with the amaretto and the pom is the primary flavor with no perfume flavor. All I have to now do is combine the two recipes and hopefully I can make it again.
