Read the thread Texas Call To Action. I think it has been intentionally vague. I think as a consumer, it will mean your rights as an adult vaper are being severely cut. (especially if you live in a rural area) It will also cost you more. It wasn't just about stopping the youth from buying and using e cigarettes. I haven't seen the news rave about it. I guess they want to wait until the last minute, before people hear about it, and start griping. There are plenty of people who have no idea what this will mean in the long run. We are the proverbial frog in the cooking pot. Other states will probably get something along these lines in the future. Those who voted for this piece of trash won't get my vote, when they are up for re-election. Supposedly there were last minute changes. But I haven't seen them. If that is true, great. But only time will tell. The media isn't making an effort to tell people. They don't mind rushing out with trash journalism, trying to harm the vaping industry. But I have yet to see most of them talk about the draconian steps that the politicians have taken, or trying to take.
I would hope that every vape shop would post prominently in their shop and on their web site(s) the list of supporters of SB 97. Lets not let vapers forget who did this.
A campaign to Remove These Worthless Excuse For 'Representatives' From Their Current and Future Political Offices Is Definitely In Order.
My rep voted 'Nay", and good for her! My senator and our governor have both lost my vote and I told them so. Like they care. I am so disgusted!!! I still would like to see the changes, if there really are any, in the bill as passed. What I've been able to read is all in legal-speak and still looks horrid to me. Especially the 'data base' verification - Good Grief!!!
