Type of wood to get?

I know it was mentioned before but I can't find the info

Witch wood would be the most durable for a mod

Consideration would be :

Crack or splinter resistance ( if dropped or bumped)
Holding of its original color
Type of sealer ?
Sweat or e liquid resistance
Heat from coils ect (Reomiser)
Ability to re-finish if necessary in the future
Termites,woodpeckers,humidity

I didn't event think of heat from coils. Wouldn't that be thought of before the mod was created?
I just look up wood online(haha) and then see how tough it is, rare, and durable to the weather before I do anything.
Most seem pretty strong that Rob makes.
