So I was trying to mod an existing PCC to work with a different batt at the same time that I wanted a cover for my e-reader when it hit me that I have all these devices with USB charging and a bunch of 3.7v Lions lying around. What I'm considering is wiring all the batts together in parallel and connecting the power output to USB so that I could charge my vape, phone and nook all on the same case. Here are my concerns, when creating the battery bank I know the batteries all have to be the same type, but do the mah ratings have to match as well? If I use a hub will I be able to charge everything at once or will it just reduce everything to a trickle and not really charge anything? If it's the latter, any ideas on how to get the power to charge everything at once?

the batteries need to be the same type, mah, and C rating otherwise it'll be... well, dangerous. Look up parallel batteries, there are a TON of RC sites that talk about it with LIPOs and most of that info translates to regular lion cells as welll.

Generally speaking without any special circuitry you can run identical batteries in parallel safely. Charging and discharging isn't an issue if all of the specs match. Long term, when dealing with charging parallel banks it's best to have a balance charger so you don't end up with unbalanced cells. Google some of thsoe terms for MUCH more detail :)
