I cut off 10.5mm of a 16g blunt end syringe I got from wizard labs.
Removed spring from the 510 connector shaft
Then I used a punch and hammer to gently tap the tube on to the 510 connector shaft in place of the spring.
I measured resistance on my multimeter leads(2ohms) then I read resistance end to end on the agi(2ohms).

I did do a version of this where I filled the center with silver solder but it didn't justify the added time. Nothing changed.

I fixed mine by adding a piece of solid coper home heating wire though the center of the spring. Fixed the problem and it meters out no resistant now it was .8-.9 with just the spring. Lol terribly designed. Why would they do that and not just make a solid post? The only thing i can think of is the spring is actually a safty device and when to much amps is forced through it, the spring will over heat and shrink cutting of the electricity to the atty. That is what happend to me with a 1.2 ohm twisted coil.

not the best camera on my not pad but lol you can see the solid coper wire running down the center of the spring. Its a tight fit and touches the center post and top of the atty, the bottom of the 510 conector. The tention of the spring holds it firmly in place

the stock spring setup is fine if you are making 1.5ohm or higher coils and running a kick in your device. But as son as you go lower than 1.5 and unregulate your wattage the spring overheats from too much amps and colapses. Terrible design.

exactly !
wen I first heard someone saying ..in this battery ...the springs act as a safty dive....it made me crinche !
in my negative battery contacts I use a little round plate soldered to a copper braid and place it above the spring .
you sure don't want a voltage drop anywhere .ecept over your coil. same for attys .did not even know they use spring in attys !
I build a puck once with 4 batterys ...4 springs stretch them and connect end to end and mesure the ohm !! no wonder it was enemic.

Because I didn't want to go out and search for the objects listed above out of sheer laziness, i found a small steel drill bit that fit the inner circumference of the spring and insert the drill bit piece into the spring and cut it to size, to fit within the top plate enclosure. Worked like a charm :) I used wire cutters to cut the drill bit
