Hey guys - just got my USFv2 from COV and one of the first things I did was accidentally pull the plunger all the way out of the body...I know, stupid right? Anyway, one of the very tiny o-rings fell out with it and now I can't get the plunger back in with the o-rings in place, it just keeps pushing them up and/or out. Any tips on how to get that plunger back in?

I had the same issue when I first got my UFS. Take the whole pin assembly and plastic piece out. Take it all apart. There should be 3 o-rings, 1 larger and 2 tiny orings. Clean, inspect, and lube the orings. Start with the pin, put on the larger o-ring, then the flat metal nut, and then the 2 tiny o-rings. After you push those to the base of the pin, put on the plastic piece. You may have to work it past the tiny o-rings. Screw the plastic piece and the flat metal nut hand tight as hard as you can without stripping. There should now be resistance on the pin, but it should still slide up and down. Now screw the whole unit into the UFS and you should be good to go.

This is how I fixed mine. I was missing one of the tiny o-rings and it was in the wrong place when it arrived to me, so only by thoroughly breaking it down and reassembling it properly was I able to make the leak stop.

those instructions copied and pasted from inquisitorj

Yes and these things happen when a person is oin their first UIFS experience. That is why we have made a thread for Instructional Videos. ;)

That thread will be constantly updated with the latest and most need at any time given to the first post in the thread. We are only waiting for ECF powers that be to set the permissions as we need them for that. :)

To be fair, I think almost every GG owner has made this mistake when new to the GGTS or the UFS. The big thing to remember is that once the pin is out, don't try to just poke it back in!

It's not the pulling out that creates the damage to the O-rings but the putting it back by just pushing it in. I hope to make a good reference to this in the video instruction thread. If users know how to properly put it back, the chance for damage is minimal.
