4 days without smoking. I wish I would have ordered an E Cig kit before I quit cold turkey. Here I sit, too much to read and undecided on what to order. I heard that Green Smoke is the best but it is on backorder. Hopefully, I can have something here by Monday. Now if I can just make it through the weekend. LOL! Any advice would be appreciated.

Haven't tried Green Smoke, but the consensus here seems to be that the 510 is one of the best to start with. I did and it is very nice. Not to sound like I'm advertising, but the ladies at cignot.com have some really good deals on them and they have excellent service. Being that you are also in Illinois, as they are, you should get it within a day or two.

I got my 510 yesterday and I'm loving it! This is only my second day vaping and I'm loving it. Haven't even though about a analog at all. I gave what I had left to a co worker and even got them interested in changing over.

I got my 510 from CigNot, but I'm sure there are other great company's out there. I fully support starting with the 510. I couldn't be happier.

if you have any thing to do,wait. just think of it this way.if you quit for a bit you can be given a gift that is like smoking but good for you,but only if ya wait for a few days ,you will be rewarded.:Dvapeing is the reward.just wait it out!id definately get a 510-it replicates a cig the best for cheap and there easy to keep going.i just went for 7 days with no juice, unflavourd and no nic.it was terrible.plain glycerine with vodka yuck.no flavour.

The two popular models for us noobs are the KR808d-1 and the 510. Difference is the KR8 is a 2 piece and the 510 is a three piece. I chose the KR8 because it seemed more convenient at the time for driving, work, etc.. I can't speak for the 510. But from the raves here you can't go wrong with it. (Ordering one this weekend) I have ordered juice from cignot and quick shipping. Just my noob 2 pennies. Hopefully you will be vaping soon.. You will be amazed.

Your lucky the greensmoke is on backorder. Not the best ecig and overpriced. The 2 most popular ecigs are the D510 and the Kr808d-1. I have both. The 510 is great around the house. Good output but both the batteries and the cartridges are short lived and can be a pain away from home. The kr808d-1 does not have quite as much output but the batteries and the cartomizers (combined atomizer and cartridge) last a long time and are very easy to swapout away from home. There are many good vendors listed at the bottom of the main forum page. Some carry the ecigs under their own brand names which can be a little confusing.

Cold turkey is definitely tough. Do not put too much faith in an e-cig as a miraculous device to your smoking cessation goals. Stopping a filthy habit like smoking tobaccos can be as difficult as quitting many other drug dependencies. You need to be focused on your goal and have a support system in place.

With that all said, I quit smoking analogs with an 801 type device. I could also have quit with a 901 style device. After a few weeks, I fiound that a high voltage custom device was better for me.

Good luck rugrat. I was in exactly your shoes a few weeks ago. Had already quit and was aching to get my hands on my first e-cig. Best advice I got was if you're confused or overwhelmed, just get a 510 and start there. You can't go wrong.

My wife was totally unsupportive, and planned to continue smoking. Until she tried my e-cig. Now she's off the analogues too.

Thanks my friend! Bye the way, how do you get that little box that tells how long you have quit!

Hey rugrat. How about taking the amount you would spend on a greencig and buying 2 Joye 510 no box starter kits. Buy some extra carts and a bottle of juice in a flavor that the wife will love. Start vaping and when she smells the wonderful vapor and decides she wants to try yours, it will be a flavor she likes too. Then when she tries to take over yours,, you have another one to break out. I didn't plan ahead and my husband decided he wanted to vape a week after I started. Good thing I had extra batteries and attys.

Remember there is a break in period for attys and it gets better after a couple of days.

You and wife both smoke I take it? With you giving up and going over to the 'dark side'
:D Unless I read it wrong and she's a non-smoker.
I wouldn't fight over this - really you guys probably have enough stress, and you definitely do if you gave up smoking. Let her SEE you with your PV, and SEE it working, the she can decide. Don't make a war out of something you both used to do; life's too short and for smokers its even shorter.
If she doesn't come around then she doesn't - we all (ok MOST of us here) used to smoke, we know what being a leper feels like - but let her decide once she sees it in action. That's often a big turning point for many smokers (and some non smokers, harder for them though they don't get the whole nic habit thing).
For a 3 pc kit I'd go with a joye510 from Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. btw thats where I got mine, $35 for the kit and their new BASIC range of juices is very very good
For the KR8 series I beelive cigeasy is having adeal atm for $40 for a kit + carts

Good luck :)

That's a very good idea! I think she would like the "Bud Light" flavor. LOL!
