So I feel I'm ready to get into a vv/vw mod. But what? Love price of the vamo.. But they seem to be classic "get what you pay for" scenario reading some threads. I'd like a good quality tube mode. 18650 size. Looking at tesla, vamo and e vic. What else good quality is out there for less than $100? I'm more interested in vv than vw.. But if I can get both why not right?

I'm in the same delima, after reading here for literally hours and hours, I've decided to save my money and wait till I have enough for a ProVari.

I can't wait though! Lol. I have a feeling I'm going to end up with a vamo to "learn" on. Then look into a provari down the road. The problem is with the vamo the reviews are either great.. Or very poor.. So it sounds like luck of the draw with the craftsmanship.

I bought the Itaste MVP and it shorted out on the first puff.
While waiting for the new replacement MVP, I got fidgety and bought the Evic. I looked at the Vamo but the Evic was a complete package and the bells and whistles grabbed me.

I almost wonder if the evic is to much for my first vv mod. I'm know I could learn it.. But for a $40 vamo I'd be less concerned about messing it up during the learning process.

The only thing you'll have to learn with vv device is what voltage to set for a given resistance and which way your batteries go in. You really don't have to worry about breaking your device, only burning your coils.

Check again, the Vamo is usually offered as just a unit. You will have to buy the battery and a charger unless you already have those items. Most Evic pricing in kit form is $105 but have seen them for as low as $75.

I have 18650 batteries/charger already I use for my mechanical mod and everything else I'd need, so all I really need is mod itself. But I did see a vamo for 49.99 that includes 2 18350 batteries and a charger. So close to pulling the trigger on it. Still for $30 more I could get an evic. So torn..:(

I've heard there are two manufacturers for the Vamo. One is Vision and they offer the Black and Chrome - no SS.
The other version offers all 3 finishes; black, chrome and SS, and those are those have more problems. I don't know how true that is. I've seen it mentioned on Mad Vapes and a couple of other sites and I've wondered if that's why it's so hit or miss with the Vamo's build quality (I'm still on the fence too).

I bought an Innokin SVD when it came out, and have not been the least bit disappointed. You might try it. It came with two different sized tubes, and two iClear 30's. The thing works great for me. As a plus, if you decided further down the road to get different sized batteries you could. I usually use it in 18650 mode @ home, and stealth it down to 18350 when @ work or on the go:)

Hope this helps! Oh yeah it was $99
