I opened up ecf. Glanced at a few headlines. Guess that was my first mistake, instead of immediately coming here.

First. "LIES LIES LIES". Open it, and it's a far right-winged vaping post about youtube videos. Made my post, and hope to never go back. (I lean more conservative on most matters but I'm not a right-winged nutjob)

Second. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...efills-now-permitted-discussion-sale-ecf.html

FORTY-FIVE MG? I am in shock that people vape that. I don't care if it's allowed or not but the fact that people vape 45mg. I started with an ego and a kanger t2. I used 24 and that was almost too much. Granted it was a vv, but dang.

I had a blu before that, but you can't even call that vaping. I guess I could see someone needing 45mg or hell maybe 100 just to get a tickle at the back of your throat.

Guess it's time to just bookmark this forum and the classifieds and become a hermit in reoville and reoville related sales.

Cig-a-likes are one of the biggest problems right now, imo. They were the first advertisement I've heard that 1ml = a pack. Now NJ was trying to tax a 30ml bottle the same as 30 packs of cigarettes.

In my experience, they did nothing. They turned me off to vaping until I saw someone who didn't even smoke with an ego with 0mg.

If you have to carry around 45mg of juice, in a carto/whatever, that can be attacked by the anti-vapers saying what if it leaks onto you? Since you're not getting 45mg you will have side-effects if it is absorbed into your skin. Not that they really leak but the possibility is there.

The efficiency rating, according to the post, is poor. If they're on the forum looking for a higher strength I find it hard to believe someone won't at least recommend an ego to them. I highly doubt the 45mg refills are cheap either.

I wasn't complaining about the forum's policies being changed to allow them, was just shocked that people vape 45mg. Guess that should've been a little more clear in first post?

45mg on your skin? well - if you are a newborn baby - then not really great, but if you are a nicotine hardened 40 a day ex-smoker, then not much harm at all.

Which is why the advice for mixing and handling it is gloves and wash off any skin contact, but you don't need a helicopter ride!

For DIY, you can buy 100mg/ml - let's be very clear about these numbers: this 100 is not 100%, it is a 10% solution.
So 36mg is a 3.6% solution and so on.

100% of anything will kill you. When i stopped smoking i vaped 36mg liquid, so 45 is not outrageous.

It has also long been the case that 1ml was never a pack, whoever made that nonsense up was a liar, but marketing genius and this has been followed by some of the sellers of eliquid now, who think it is acceptable to charge $1+ per ml of their juice. That is before local and federal government decide they'd like some tax dollars too.

For reference my ADV, which i make to a hallowed recipe from an old Reonaut, costs about $3 for 30ml.
That is why they are running scared, because 30ml lasts even me 2 days and a packet of cigarettes costs.....?

Id like to agree with what you have to say about cig-a-likes in general.

I personally think they do more harm then good in the long run. I know plenty of smokers, we all do don't we? Well, I can name 10 who have tried some brand of cigalike, hated it, and now won't even listen to me about trying vaping again, only with an ego or something.

I was lucky and had a decent experience with Blu's.. I actually LOOOOOOOOOOVED their Vanilla cartos.. so much so that Id honestly buy some right now if they're werent eye gougingly expensive. But, I bought the starter kit and 5 packs of vanilla cartos, and I switched to a Vamo and Evod before I finished the 5 packs. Had I not switched.. idk.. I doubt blu's would have let me QUIT smoking.. probably could have cut down using them..

Idk, I just don't think Cigalikes are worthwhile. A vaper would never suggest someone start out with them, and no one ever stays using JUST a cigalike, and more often than not, they think ecigs and vaping is yet another useless way to try and quit smoking, and they just go back to smoking.

if there was a way to get some sort of mini clearo-fed device into stores next to Logic and Blu.. idk.. could help a lot more people maybe.

Friend of mine at work used cigalikes for 2 years!!
I bought him an Ego just so he'd not have to hog every USB port in the building. i was only using a silver bullet at the time myself.

All that messing about - condom-filling atomisers etc - good god!!

But he's the kind of guy that $50??? i'll have to ask the wife. Pity.

My wife and i both cut down using cigalikes, but we both needed a better mod than even an ego to stop totally. The rest of the nonsense is really gravy and showing off - she has a custom wood mod etc. Some of us took 'backups for backups' rather too literally.

Yes. Thank you. I agree completely. I think my nicotine tolerance dropped when I first started because I started with 8mg juice which was almost like cold turkey, and a few weeks later I got some 24. That was way before my ecf days though. If I were on here I'm sure I would've tried 36 and 24 right away instead of listening to people at a b&m who have never vaped.

Due to financial reasons and running out of my normal 24mg liquid, I've been vaping 100mg unflavored for about a week and a half now. That'll end today as I just recieved some 24mg in the mail, but I have to say I was a bit surprised that the 100mg does'nt seem to vape that much different than the 24mg for me. I started out real carefull, just taking small hits sporadically, thinking over doing it was gonna happen real quick, but it never did, not even as much as a slight headache. I know I don't vape as much with the 100mg, I guess that speaks for the validity of self titration.
