So, I got myself a Reo mini woodvil back at the beginning of July. Went ahead and got 4 AW IMR14500 to go along with it. What I didn't get was a charger. That is because just prior to my Reo purchase, I'd made arrangements with another ECFer to make me a VVbox mod - got him to order a charger and batteries along with the parts for the vvbox at the same time. So...because I already had a charger coming, figured I didn't need to have two.

Now it is the end of August and I'm still waiting on the vvbox along with my charger and batteries....which means, that my beautiful REO mini is sitting unused, just waiting. I couldn't take it anymore and finally, this past Sunday, I decided to break it open and try it anyway. I went through the existing charge on the 4 batts that I had in no time. So now, I'm back in the same situation...waiting for the other mod along with the charger. I just got word that my vvbox is just about complete and will be shipping asap (along with charger) but since it's coming from the states, I have no idea when I'll actually get it.

Question: Could my batteries die entirely if I wait too long to get them charged?

I can't really offer an expert opinion, just what I read on flashlight forums (I never would have thought those existed until I started reading up on batteries :) ). The time frame you're dealing with is nowhere near close to the amount of time it would require for batteries to begin to deteriorate (it's closer to 3 months) and because you've used them in that time you actually gave them life. So I wouldn't worry about it too much, they'll charge up just fine when you finally receive your charger.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable about the intricate working of Li-on batteries will chime in and explain why :)

as long as they are not below 3v a cel you should be just fine. I can't get my mini to produce vapor below 3v on lr cartos. at worst grab some local with a half arsed rc car or plane charger to top up your batteries

I did switch them out as soon as the vapor production dropped, so hopefully I'll be okay.

I blow through batteries like mad, I have now idea why? Every phone I have every had still is good with it's originally battery except the ones that are 5+ years old and I just let sit in a drawer and not charge. Now these e-cig bat's die, get weak, won't charge etc so frequently I just assume it's a cost of doing business. Beats smoking though I just make sure that I always have a few on the go and a couple on hand.

mopar what kind of batteries are you using? Are you talking about Li-on batteries like AW batteries of 510/volt/ego batteries?

Yea I think I loose one every three weeks on average.

Just since his post I've had a 1000 usb not show it's charging LCD and after 20 puffs if not hooked up gets really weak. Garbage time.
