Uh oh. I think something fell into the tank and I smoked it. Is this possible?

I don't know what it could be. Maybe cause I had it in my pocket or it fell over and I didn't notice. I just took a few hits off my one vape tank, and my lungs hurt a little bit, then my airway got tight and I started coughing, then a lot of mucos. This never ever happened before. Wtf could I have inhaled? And wait, is it possible to accidentally smoke debris if it falls down into the mouth hole? I hit my other tank, my lungs are still very irritated but it didn't produce that same discomfort. Also, the other tank feels like something is wrong with the juice vaporizing when I hit it. Crap. Maybe I need to be more careful what I do with my tanks... Besides dropping them of course.

Looking down inside, I do see something that looks off, there's a very dark wet stuff that looks like it stuck around where the coil heats up, and I don't think it's just the cotton. Looking closer, it looks like at some random freaking chance, something did fall, stick to the coil and maybe melt. ....

Yeah u should take care of your vape more.I have a jacket that has fibers coming off from inside the pocket b cause its new and i never put my vape there until it stops.
Never had something fall into my vape device but i am always very careful.

If i ever have something fall into my vape and realise it as u did i would immediately change the coil and not continue vape it even if the flavour is not bad.

Anyway change the coil and be careful next timeee.you gonna be fine

    about how long?
Well, compared to the ones I've been using, the very first one that came with the tank lasted nearly a week, no browning at all, it was in fact, still perfectly fine, and I was dumb and changed it for the other coil type that kept burining on me after 2 days. It seemed no matter what with those ones, it just wouldn't wick up enough juice, or fast enough, even when I was conciously being careful not to overdo it. Manually sucking it up with closed airflow actually helped a lot, but it still got burnt. Now I've got the type I like in here and I can do a true longevity test. I'll let you know what happens.

After reading around, by accident I think I've just figured out that maybe, I just burnt the everliving .... out of my coil and that's what caused irritation in my lungs. As of today, my throat is still all scratchy. It's terrible. I can't believe it hasn't gone away. Whatever it was, must have been pretty bad. Idk. I just started sucking on a bucklebury silver lozenge. Feels much better. But still. Damn. Lol.

Also, the lozenge provided immediate relief but when I took a few pulls off my known good tank it burned my throat again. I suppose I've gotten used to it today, didn't realize that it was still irritated till I had some relief. q_q damn I hope it goes away tomorrow. Or I could just take Advil. I wanna see how long this lasts, or maybe I could be getting sick as well.

You could try and not inhale the vapor, some of us prefer it that way (including me). Just fill your mouth with vapor, enjoy for a moment and done ;)

    ^^^^^^^^ This ^^^^^^^^^

I decided I had put my lungs through enough after 45+ years of smoking. I don't inhale the vapor. I just kinda suck on the device much like one would a straw. Pull the vapor in my mouth and after a few seconds release it through nose and mouth. Try it. You may find you get better flavor by doing it this way. Some vapor does end up in the lungs but not nearly as much as when doing a direct to the lungs inhale.

When we are first making the switch we tend to treat the vapor the same as we did the smoke. With a bit of practice not inhaling becomes second nature.

I’ve been doing it this way for years, and now I’m at the point where accidentally inhaling vapor makes me cough.

That sounds alright, except I really do like having some nicotine and also my device is DTL and it's nearly impossible to pull that off.
