What plans do UK suppliers have to ensure that we vapers will get our supplies please?

pray or something like that.. if the postal service fouls up due to politics and royal mail workers taking selective strike action praying is about the best option..

those little postie guys and gals do an important job in todays "buy online world"...

if they stop doing it businesses will suffer so will customers..

they do say next day special deliver items will get delivered..

Mr Postie should have brought me a little package today.... but Royal Mail being Royal Mail he didn't, so I guess that's me buggered then! LOL!

(PS I have plenty of liquid here to see me through, it was just a delivery of my usual 'every-day vape' that I am waiting on. My own stupid fault for not ordering sooner :( )

To the OP: I can't see that there is anything that the suppliers can do for us. It's not as if a courier delivery service would be a commercially viable option for them, is it?

I think the ECF server has embarked on it's own series of wildcat strikes...:D

As for really small businesses, they don't have a chance when it comes to alternative couriers, big companies like Amazon can get good deals because of the sheer volume of work they can provide for these couriers, "mom & pop" type small businesses/ebay sellers and the like are going to suffer big time with these stikes. :(

i think unless its settled (i doubt it will be) there will be more selective one day strikes.. monday will probably be chaos day.. strikes on thursday and friday build up of stuff bought over the weekend.. when it all hits the system on monday it will foul up.. if they strike again next thursday and friday the same thing will happen only worse..

its shame it has to happen.. we will ship all our UK stuff out next day special delivery and stand the extra cost..

This was one of the reasons I brought the topic up. I certainly would not mind standing a £4.90 delivery charge for next day delivery if it were an option. Not many juice suppliers provide spec del as an option. If you were wanting to order 150ml of juice, that extra delivery cost would easily be justified IMO, if only for the peace of mind of knowing your juice is guaranteed next day. In the circumstances, and if the option were available in the 'postal options' section of the checkout ...
Most just offer standard recorded, no way would I order atm using that option.

our best system is royal Mail guaranteed before 1 pm the next day special delivery.. its what we use no need for tracking we post them at around 3.30 pm one day the customer gets them the next day.. it works..

its not really valid for low cost items.. it costs about six quid as opposed a quid or so for the cheapest method.. my mail arrived this morning okay..

you have a really good mail system.... unless we are in the local area (100 - 150 mile radius), we have to pay way more for overnight shipping so it can be delivered the next day. It can cost as much as 27-40 bucks for express mail.... jeesh....

It's easy to guarantee next day delivery in a relatively small country like England. Much more difficult and expensive in America.

its not as big as America but the service for the price is superb.. we are talking a potentially heavily congested 900 miles with the odd island hop thrown in..and a down your path to your front door delivery.. we dont have remote mailboxes..

only Royal Mail can do it.. private shippers would want way more.. folks say they are shooting themselves in the foot others will take their business.. the truth is no one wants it for the same money postman pat does it for..

the bosses want to bugger it up and make postman pat work twice as hard... postman pat (the guy with the black and white cat) quite rightly so aint happy..

but its politics so i think we are in for a long period of disruption... both sides have their reasons for not giving in..
