Firstly, well done with the forum. Have been having a good look through for more information on the e-cig and found a fair few of my questions answered already. However, most users are US based so i have a few UK starter questions.

1. I currently smoke around 10-20 Benson and Hedges Silver cigarettes a day. Therefore, which strength liquid would i need?

2. I have been recommended to use e-cigs.co.uk. I saw a few people not recommend it on here though? So, where do the UK users go? I also looked at intellicig.co.uk from a link on these forums. Any good?

3. I have looked at the super e-cig from e-cigs cigarette and also the intellicig evo cigarette. Could anyone recommend one over the other?

4. Assuming i smoke 10-20 cigarettes per day, would i need to recharge the battery at some point during the day?

5. Does anyone find using these products "inconvenient"? I'd say that's a pretty silly question really seeing as it's essentially saving your health!

6. Are there any safety warnings regarding these products?

7. Essentially i do not want to give up the routine of smoking as it is part of my social life, but i wouldn't mind being able to run again and stop coughing!!! Are these e-cigs the answer?

Many thanks in advance, and i'm sure there will be more questions in the future!

Firstly, well done with the forum. Have been having a good look through for more information on the e-cig and found a fair few of my questions answered already. However, most users are US based so i have a few UK starter questions.

This isn't a particularly UK/US difference question. I would suggest starting with 18 or 24mg liquid.

2. I have been recommended to use e-cigs.co.uk. I saw a few people not recommend it on here though? So, where do the UK users go? I also looked at intellicig.co.uk from a link on these forums. Any good?
I'm not sure where you've read that e-cigs.co.uk isn't recommended. Personally, I've had absolutely no problems with that site at all and would, in fact, highly recommend it. I think there may be another "e-cig" named website that isn't so good - but I honestly can't be sure. I have had no problems at all with the .co.uk website.

3. I have looked at the super e-cig from e-cigs cigarette and also the intellicig evo cigarette. Could anyone recommend one over the other?
I have no experience of the evo, but I would recommend the DSE901 (the mini) rather than the super. Like most newbies I bought a "super" (not from that website but from ebay) and it wasn't as good as I hoped. The mini was brilliant in comparison.

4. Assuming i smoke 10-20 cigarettes per day, would i need to recharge the battery at some point during the day?
You will probably have to recharge at least once, or maybe even twice, per day.

5. Does anyone find using these products "inconvenient"? I'd say that's a pretty silly question really seeing as it's essentially saving your health!
I will honestly answer that yes, you may find it a little inconvenient if you have been used to just opening a pack of normal cigarettes. I find e-cigs less inconvenient because I have been smoking rollies with filters for the past couple of years. I would guess that the e-cigs fall somewhere in the middle as far as inconvenience is concerned.

6. Are there any safety warnings regarding these products?
Not really. I've no doubt some safety issues may come up in the future but as I was already smoking cigarettes/tobacco I really don't care.

7. Essentially i do not want to give up the routine of smoking as it is part of my social life, but i wouldn't mind being able to run again and stop coughing!!! Are these e-cigs the answer?
They might be. My own smoking has gone from around 40 rollies per day, to between 0 and 14 per day (I've been keeping a diary!).

I would suggest giving them a try. If you are currently smoking up to 20 B&H per day, then giving e-cigs a try will only cost you the same as one week's smoking. Why not try it?

I think it's important to stress that the Intellicig Evo isn't just a supermini. It has much longer battery life than the 901 (I get around 8 hours) and more importantly it doesn't "fade" over the day imho - when the battery runs out it flashes and then you need to use another. The atomisers are also very reliable - I've had mine for well over a month now with no issues. It's a great vapour generator and doesn't require a "primer puff" to get it going.
With regard to your health - I noticed a great improvement in my ability to breathe within days of starting (I also stopped smoking tobacco!) - this alone made the e-cig a good move.

Whatever you decide - good luck!:)

Thank you very much for your answers. It's much appreciated.

I've plumped for the EVO starter kit. Gonna give it a try for a day and see how it goes.

I was impressed with the site and the prices seem reasonable, and along the lines of what Joolz says i was paying £5 a packet for B&H and screwing my lungs up anyway!

Also liked the look of their new battery, what with it being shorter, so i'm sure i'll be investing more money in the future, just so long as it helps my craving and tastes ok.

Hi astaroth and welcome to the forum!

I have had the EVO for two days now and love it, i hope you take to e-cigs as so many have on here, just bear in mind that its not like smoking a normal cig, there is a small learning curve but you will get it i'm sure, and once you get the hang of it just think of these two little things,

1. Flavours Flavours Flavours! so many to choose and try, there are some great people on here who are always willing to help you whatever your question may be.

2. Your health, been off analog cigs for just over two weeks now and my breathing has improved so much, plus you don't smell like a singed ....... anymore :p

good luck to you and happy vapin!!

Cheers for the info womblebat. The breathing side of it is something i'm looking forward too.

I'm guessing like most people on here i've given up before. Waking up in the morning, breathing, not coughing and no sore throat was bliss! But you all know how it is. You just start again!

Itching for the parcel to arrive now, and i'll post my opinions once i've used it!
