The mini-hybrid was electronic? I thought it just used a regular manually operated electromechanical switch like most mods out there.

Certainly a step backwards to go from one of the most reliable switches made (Omron snap action) to some home-brew battery basher.

Some informations about this switch. In first, I choose a micro switch from OMRON (B3U3000P) but I don't like (poor sensation). I change to a other switch from OMRON : B3F6000. It is very pleasant to use, guaranteed to 1000000 cycles, support force of 100g.
It's OK for mount on my board but I design the PCB for the B3U3000 .
I use for power commutation on this board a N Mosfet for International rectifier : IRF7809.
Very Low Rdson = 9 mOhm, High current capability = 17A continuous, ....

My co-op is full for my first batch but if some people here are interested... I need to finish the redesign for the new switch and I can restart a PCB production.

Willy, the mini hybrid uses a 3A Omron D2F without the lever. Quite nice, unless you happen to melt through the case or break off a leg.

No I don't, but would consider one if it didn't have the bottom button and yours

Have you considered a drop-in board that would use the mechanical switch but keep the intelligence of an electronic switch?
I have asked this before but voltage regulation would be nice...
