I'm curious about the experience of other ultra-light analog cigarette smokers that have begun the journey into the realm of e-Cigs.

I was under the impression that I'd need high-octane juice to survive the process of converting to e-Cigs, but my experience has been the opposite. I haven't been able to make a complete switch yet because I grossly overestimated the strength of nicotene needed.

When I ordered my 510 kit, I asked for 555 menthol sample carts. Holy crap! The buzz was so intense that I had to keep smoking analogs until I ordered some juice and refillable carts.

I purchased some 24 mg. liquid. Another no-go.
Next order was 12 mg. liquid. Still too strong.

I'm not a casual analog smoker by any means. 1-2 packs of ultra-lights a day for decades was the norm. <sigh> I want to make the switch complete. I feel the only thing holding me back is finding the right formulation of juice.

To date, a few puffs on my 510 is like smoking a whole pack of analogs in one mouthful (regarding nicotene content)

I e-Mailed my favorite juice supplier a bit ago and asked if they could cut the nic level in their 'low' level juice upon request. (They mix each order themselves) Eagerly awaiting a reply.

Any shop that mixes their own juice should be able to get down to at least 6mg. Some might be able to go even lower if you ask. I know Viking Vapor offers 6mg as a regular option on their juices.

If that's still too much, you can always cut it down farther yourself. Plain PG/VG is cheap, and you can usually get it locally for only a couple dollars an ounce.

Thank you for the replies, candre23 nd AiricR.

Candre23, I'm hoping that my current suplier will agree to formulate a lower nicotene version. They claim to make each order up individually. How hard could it to put a lesser amount of nicotene juice in it?

AiricR - yes, the nic buzz, not the throat hit. The throat hit from the 555 carts was worse than smoking analogs lol.

I was also an ultra light (healther) ;) smoker. The funny thing is, I didn't really like the flavor of analogs just the feeling they gave me. I've been using 26mg VG and I cut it down with PG, about half and half. The only things is, it does loose some of the yummy flavor if you do it yourself. I have some Lorannes (sp) vanilla I added but still not the. You might try getting the 0 nic flavors and then adding your own nic to get the strength you like. But be careful with the nic it is a toxic chemical.

I smoked ultra lights and when I got my first e-cig and bought menthol and tobacco flavored juice I did not like the taste. I only like the fruit flavors. I too started out vaping 36mg juice and after a while I would get heartburn and feel dizzy and sick. I started to lower my nic level and now vape at 6mg to 12 mg nic and it is fine. I figure I will eventually be able to quit the nic soon.
