:sigh: this is the third vendor I've gone to, trying to pay via AMEX, and their website fails to accept it. AMEX is listed in the drop down menu, I enter in my CC info, confirm the order, then it takes me back to the CC info screen with this message:

" Field Format Error - There has been an error processing your credit card. Please try again."

AMEX cards have 15 digits instead of 16 -- this could be an issue if your e-commerce platform isn't expecting this. It could also be that your merchant account doesn't take AMEX cards. I can't pay via any other method right now, but I really really want to order from GotVapes, and preferably quickly before you run out of stock on the items I want (CE9, AMiGo, etc, items that will likely move fast). Please tell me what I can do to order from you via AMEX, if at all possible!

HI Gary--we actually do take AMEX...

Your website isn't charging my card successfully, though. I've used this card at other online merchants before so I'm fairly sure it isn't being denied by AMEX. I'm positive I've entered my information in correctly. Every time I try to confirm the order, when it should be charging my card, it just gives me the error I've stated above.

Still getting the same error. Double checked all of my info against the AMEX website. Everything matches as far as billing address goes. This isn't a normal AMEX credit card -- it's one of their reloadable prepaid cards. It should function the exact same to your CC processor, though. I don't get why it isn't going through.

Do you have an apostrphe in your name by chance?

ETA: or address?

Try leaving it out.

I'm a ...... And AMEX is annoying for using the 4 digit code on the front of the card as the CVV instead of the 3 digit code on the back of it.

My order is successfully placed, sorry for the hassle.

So glad you got it straightened out. I'll have to remember that for if I ever use my amex online.

You know I was about to ask you if you used the 4 digit on the front but since you said you had it working at other sites I didn't bother--glad you got it fixed...

Hah! I was just having the same problem on GV's site, and I was about to give up when I decided to Google it... lucky me, your post turned up near the top results and as soon as I saw ECF I knew I was either going to find a solution, or learn that it wouldn't work. So glad you clarified that bit about the CVV. Thanks!!

Now, time to start stalking the mailman.
