I was storing batteries too at first when posts on a similar thread topic convinced me to rotate them all. I don't know the technical details or anything, but that was the conclusion we reached. (not much help i know, sorry) I think it had something to do with the fact that to store them they had to have a certain amount of charge (50% or 80%, I forget) so rather than charge them every 6 months we decided to just rtate them.

Really, I'd like to know how long V4L stores them and if they have some input on this.

I don't know what the official response is, but I set aside one of my original kit batteries in a desk drawer for 4 months. Tossed it on the recharger and it worked like a champ. I also read somebody was storing theirs in the refrigerator, maybe that was Jamvector.....but I can't remember now. Ions are not like alkaline batteries in the sense that they will deteriorate.

So to answer you question, if I understand it correctly...taking a fully charged battery and say, setting it aside for a couple of months should not cause any damage at all.

Snow, I agree that it won't damage the batteries..but how long is too long to store them? I do know they lose charge..a tiny amt. at a time because I put my auto's up fully charged and when I go back to vape them from time to time they are less them fully charged. If they are left for say 6months..will they completly discharge and be dead? I don't know. That's why I just put them in rotation and order a couple new ones when the old are getting senile.

As I mentioned, I put an fully charged auto regular away for 4 months, took it out and tossed on the charger and it worked like a champ. I have to imagine that they are factory charged and sit from months in some cases before being purchased and you know how that goes. Sometimes NEW batteries are fully charged, sometimes they are 80% charged (ready after 20-30 minutes on the charger), and sometimes they need a full recharging.

I know V4L still has some Lavender Diamond Series....those are still sitting with the factory charge. The old black rubber button manuals that were on clearance....how long do you think some of those have held factory charges?

So Wader, just curious, does that mean the staff at V4L routinely charges the batts in stock or tracks batts that have been in stock for a determined amount of time and charges them?

And......since I'm asking questions.........Can you tell me how turning the base of a carto with screwdriver can effect draw flow since the base is basically a pressed-in plate with a hollow tube?

Others claim it works, I'm not doubting them, but after taking apart 3-4 dozen Cartomizers I just don't understand what changes to make it work.

Hey SD....

As most have noticed, our batts are generally shipped with close to a full charge. Our stock rotates fairly quickly so it's generally not a problem!

Not sure about the carto airflow thing. Could be it's the way the holes are lining up with the battery holes....or maybe it's simply improving the connection and has nothing to do with the actual turning. Or mayhaps it's all placebo affect...

I am not getting it either.. Like Wader said.. the only thing I could see is partial turns trying to get the slots lined up right, but that doesn't seem practical.

All the cartos that I have seen, and it seems like the ones you took apart are the same. I wouldn't suggest turning it with a screwdriver, since that would risk messing up the coil that has one end attached to the center pin.

One thing I could guess is, there might be some confusion, that the adapters used so cartomizers can be used on other devices of different threading. One can adjust the adaptor to chance the draw.
